When I got there, Rose and Enzo, and of course Antonio, had yet to arrive. And I hug Mom before I sit down on the couch. Mom has been making a cake and a little of easy food.

"Happy birthday, my son," Mom tells me.

"Thank you, Mom," I say, and she and Dad smile.

We hear the door open, and then Rose, Enzo, and Little Antonio come into the living room. I hug Rose, nod my head to Enzo, and then I focus on my nephew.

"IF there is anything good to remember on this day, then it is that you were born. Happy birthday, little wolf." tell him and give him the

teddy bear, looking like a wolf.

Antonio grabs it and laughs with his little voice, and I go join my family, eating cake and being together as a family.

After a while, I stand up to go back to my own place so I can relax and get ready for tonight but Rose stops me in the hall.

"Are you okay brother?" She asks me.

"Yes, sister, I'm good. I'm just looking forward to this night being over. I have a strange feeling, like something calling to me," I say, looking her in the eyes.

"If she is here now, she is a visitor and will be at the ball tonight. You will find her there.” Rose says softly. And I know she is right.

"Thank you, Sister. I love you." I say and hug her before I leave.

Back at my place, I sit down in my chair, leaning back my head with closed eyes, and breathe slowly. I feel the weight of being "The True King," the savior. Most of our race in our world don't see me for anything but someone with more power than anyone.

Sometimes I wish I was just an ordinary wolf hell even an ordinary prince. I want to find my mate, but even I have heard and read so much about the matebond.
