I had gone for a run in the forest and was now sitting on the top of the waterfall, looking at the moon. It was peaceful, and the only sounds were from the animals and from the waterfall.

But then, out of nowhere, a feeling of something touching my soul surged through me, and I gasped for air. Then I felt fear, fear like never before and I saw her beautiful green eyes for me, but they were scared. Then it was gone.

I jumped from the top to the ground and started to run to Dad and Mom's house, I needed to talk to Dad. I shifted as I entered the house, and Mom came down the stairs looking at me, and nodded.

"He is in the office. There was a call," She said, but I was already walking there before she finished.

I walked to the office, not knocking on the door first. And see, he is on the phone, talking to someone.

"How many are dead?" Dad asks.

The rouge's leader told her she could save her family and the pack. If she chose him for her mate, her family told her to refuse, and Louis fought to keep her safe." Dad says, looking sad.

"Madeleine is still alive and unmarked," I say, and Dad nods without asking how I know.

"I am going to France, and you can not stop me this time," I say and look at them.

"You won't be going alone, son," Dad says, and I relax a little.

"Thank you, Dad," I say, and I see Enzo nod his head in agreement.

"We leave in the morning, so go pack," Dad tells me and I do as he says.

Back at the castle, I was surprised when I ran into Gina in the halls. I had a long

talk with her 6 weeks ago, and I know it had hurt her.

"Gina? What are you doing here?" I ask and look at you.

"I felt your anger, and I assume everyone else did as well. But I wanted to check if

you are okay." She says.

"I am Okay. I am going to France." I tell her.

"Oh, for your mate." She says it more like a statement than a question.

"Yes, Gina I don't want to hurt you, but you knew this would happen one day, I never lied to you." I remind her softly.

"I know, and I am happy for you, and

I won't ever be a problem, Noah, I promise. Njust wanted to check on you as a friend. I want you to feel that happiness." She says it with a small smile, and I can feel that she is teffing the truth.

"You will find someone someday, someone who will love you the way you deserve," I tell her, and she smiles.

"Thank you." She says. And we give each other a hug before she leaves.

I feel bad for her, but I also truly

believe she will find love one day After she left, I went packing for the flight to France in the morning, which was easy as I didn't need much.

"Don't worry Madeleine, I am on my way. I will find you and keep you safe." I say

to myself.
