Chapter 1841
After the conversation, the family sat together for a while before Trevor took Victoria home. On the way back, the two chatted casually.
After entering the door and sitting down, Victoria couldn't help sighing.
"Everything's finally over. I'm so happy for Waverly. It's a pity that I can't go in person and see Alicia and Lauren. Otherwise, we could meet up!" she whined.
In their culture, it was taboo for pregnant women to attend weddings. For the sake of the baby in her belly, she had to endure it for the time being, no matter how regretful she felt.
She continued, "We'll have many opportunities in the future! We've been so busy today, and it's not like we can have a talk on such a joyous occasion. The bride also has to entertain guests, so we won't have many opportunities to talk to each other..."
If they had time in the future, they could meet one-on-one.
Trevor put his things down and subconsciously looked back, only to see that Victoria was massaging her calf in a strange position on the couch.
He couldn't help but hum. "Hmm..."
"What is it?"
Trevor stepped forward and squatted down next to her. He raised his hand to give her a gentle massage and then reached out to touch her belly.
"Isn't your ankle a little swollen? Did you walk too much today? Or did the baby kick you again? The kid hasn't even been born, and it's already so restless. Do you think it's a boy?"
Trevor murmured, then looked up at her.
He added, "I would prefer to have a girl. Look at Willy. He constantly looks like he deserves to get beat up. All he does is talk about his daughter, and he keeps telling me how much he regrets not witnessing her birth. He doesn't even think about how someone who hasn't had kids yet would feel... I feel like giving him a kick every time I hear it! He lives like his daughter is his only family. Once you give birth, I'll carry our baby around every single day until it turns two to rub it in his face. I refuse to stop until I make him jealous!" she declared.
Victoria giggled. She was amused by his words. "Does Mr. Bowles know what you're saying about him behind his back? You're all grown up, but you still act so childishly."
Her eyebrows were curved as she smiled. Victoria was full of sweet happiness.
"There are pros and cons whether we have a daughter or a son! Either way, our baby will be the most obedient child in the world. It won't be restless! I won't let you call it restless in the future."
As soon as Victoria said that, she felt the skin of her stomach moving around. Suddenly, she said in surprise, "He responded to me! Our baby seems to be able to understand what we are talking about!"
"Let me touch it..."
Trevor excitedly put his hand down again. He waited pitifully for a long time, but he felt nothing. "Did it stop?"
"You were the one who called it restless! Our baby must have gotten angry, hehe."
Smiling, Victoria also reached out to touch her stomach and praised, "You don't have to mind Daddy! You're such a smart baby, aren't you?"
The moment she said that in her soft voice, there was obvious movement below her skin. He could clearly feel the movement under his palm, and Trevor widened his eyes in surprise.
"It moved! It moved!"
Could the baby actually understand what they were saying?
The power of life was truly amazing.
Trevor raised his eyes and noticed Victoria's slightly frowning eyebrows. He quickly withdrew his hand and pulled her up. "What's wrong? Are you not feeling well? You're not about to deliver, are you?"
Shaking her head, Victoria gritted her teeth. "Maybe it's because of the change of weather. My leg suddenly feels sore and a little painful!"
Her leg had been seriously injured. Although it had almost recovered, there were still a few side effects. When it was winter, or if the weather was changing, she would feel uncomfortable and there would be a sore sensation, as if she was being pricked by needles.
"I'll prepare some medicinal drinks for you."
Trevor suddenly got up when a force hit him. Nearly instantly, he froze in place. He realized that she was pregnant right then, and it wasn't healthy for her to drink anything with medicinal properties.
He looked back and their eyes met. At the same time, Victoria said, "It's okay. I'll just have to bear with it. I probably shouldn't take any medicine for now."
She turned around and sat down on the sofa. Trevor held onto her and pulled the thin blanket to cover her legs. "It's all my fault that you're suffering like this." Selena, that damned woman.
If he could cut Selena up to relieve Victoria of her pain, he wouldn't hold back. At that moment, Trevor suddenly realized that sending her to the Moore family had been too light of a punishment.
"That was an accident. Don't blame yourself for everything, Trevor. If these injuries are the price I have to pay for staying with you, I am willing to bear it!" she stated.
Leaning against him comfortably, Victoria tugged his hand over to her chest and continued speaking.
"It's all in the past! Maybe the pain is more obvious because I stopped taking medicine due to my pregnancy. It's only temporary, and the precious medicine I use for my bones is still very effective. I rarely feel any soreness nowadays. When the baby is born, I'll continue doing foot soaks. It's okay, don't worry about me!"
"Okay."
Trevor realized that he could do nothing but give her a hug. In the end, all he could do was boil a pot of hot water for her to soak her feet in and improve her blood circulation in an attempt to relieve some pain.
Meanwhile, after the wedding banquet, Wyatt and Waverly did not stay in the hotel for long. It was not that they were not tired, but in Waverly's words, they would be more comfortable in bed.
Thus, they returned home at midnight. Although they were inevitably tired, they couldn't hide their happiness that day. Even while she slept on the way back, the corners of Waverly's mouth were raised in a smile.
Back in the room, Wyatt went to wash up. Waverly adjusted the decorations in the room a little. When she saw the wedding picture in the mirror, she suddenly sobered up. She went to the mirror and pinched her obviously plump cheeks.
Why had she gained so much obvious weight? Had she eaten that much these past few days?
She lowered her head and looked at her waist. Waverly reached out to grab it again. Damn! She could actually feel her own flesh.
"Isn't this too shocking?" she murmured.
She had realized such a terrible thing on such a joyous occasion.
Wyatt pulled open the bathroom door and saw her hitting her own head dejectedly. He stepped forward and gently embraced her from behind. "What's wrong? It's the middle of the night, but you're not sleeping. What happened to make you so upset?"
Waverly pursed her lips and shook her head. She tugged at her fat cheeks. "I wanted to be a beautiful bride, but I ended up accidentally eating so much that I became a pig!"
She had likely never been so fat in her whole life.
What a huge mistake she had made!
Hadn't she seen herself in the mirror lately? She hadn't even noticed it!
Instantly, he was amused by her hilarious expression. He hugged her tightly and laughed heartily. "Haha! Doesn't that mean I'm even luckier? Having more fat means you're softer to touch, you know."
While speaking, Wyatt lowered his head and glanced at her chest. If she hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't have noticed. It seemed that she had gained quite a bit of weight.
Under the light, her slightly exposed skin was bright and pale. It was like top quality silk shining with a subtle and noble glow. Not even a single pore could be seen. It was akin to a charming spring landscape.
Noticing his wandering gaze, Waverly slapped him. "Where are you looking? Did you even get what I was talking about?"
No doubt, Wyatt's brain was full of dirty thoughts.
"I did! No matter what, you're the prettiest," he insisted.
He tilted his head and kissed her cheek gently. Wyatt's eyes were filled with deep affection. "I'm so happy to be married, Honey. In the future, there will be nothing that can separate us. Even if you become fat and old, I'll be by your side!" Being by someone's side was the most drawn-out show of love one could ever make. Waverly was touched again. "Okay."
Although she said that, she knew that she would not let herself become like that. She would only deserve such an amazing partner if she took care of herself.
Rubbing her eyes, Waverly subconsciously wanted to yawn again. Wyatt pinched her little face, and his voice softened a little. "Are you sleepy? Go wash your face, then rest."
Perhaps it was because she had gained weight, but she had indeed been acting like a piglet lately. Her laziness had become a norm.
That thought flashed through Wyatt's mind, but he still found the silly and
confused girl very adorable. "Go ahead. I'll wait for you."
On this wedding night, the two of them snuggled up and wandered into
dreamland. Their dreams were full of laughter and joy.
They were exhausted from the
wedding and the lawsuit, not to

mention that they had gone out before the wedding. Following the
ceremony, they did not leave
Casterwich City again. After enjoying themselves for a few days in the nearby hotels, the two of them went back to work. The days went by, and their life was simple and sweet.
When she settled down after such a busy period of time, Waverly thought of the
fat on her body again.
In the afternoon, she took a short nap. When she opened her eyes, it was already three o'clock. Looking at the sunshine outside the window, she was in a trance. After a long time, she came back to her senses. She took out her notebook. The moment she got on the weighing scale, she was nearly scared to death.
"56 kilograms? Are you kidding me?"
Looking at her light and weightless silk nightdress, she couldn't believe it and moved the scale to the balcony again. What greeted her were the numbers 57.82,
which caused her eyes to sting.
"Why did I get even heavier?"
There was something wrong with the scale! There had to be something wrong
with it!
Waverly smacked her own head and
couldn't accept this cruel reality. How could she gain nearly five kilograms all at once? She usually maintained her weight at 49 kilograms. Reaching 52 kilograms
was already a record high for her.
Back then, it was because she had overeaten so much that her stomach began to heart. There was
no way she could gain weight so quickly even if she ate meat every
single day, right?
Besides, she hadn't eaten any sweets or snacks recently. It had been a long time
since she last drank any bubble tea.
Waverly pouted angrily. She was not only unhappy, but also desperate.
In the end, she remained depressednoveldrama
in her room for a long time before she simply changed her clothes and went straight out of the house. She went to take a look at her studio, which was under construction. When she went back, she deliberately looked for a pharmacy and went inside to weigh herself for
free. She also ended up buying a bottle of calcium tablets.
When she got home, her mental state was practically falling apart. There was only
one thought in her mind. She was around 57 kilograms. No matter what, she had
to lose weight. She had to lose weight no matter what!
After returning home and lying on the bed, Waverly began to swipe through her phone and looked up all kinds of ways to lose weight.
What do you think?
