Chapter 226
Elsie was at a loss for words.
Here she was, stressing over recruitment, while Simon sat there, convinced that Janice was trying to get his attention.
Was the entire Fitzgerald family this out of touch with reality?
Taking a deep breath to compose herself, Elsie decided to set the record straight. "I did some research. Janice just launched a new product line, and they sold 200,000 units in a single day. That's why she's hiring so many seamstresses."
Simon shot up from his chair. "Did you say 200,000? How on earth did she sell that many?"
"Take a look at Prosper Stitch Group's official website yourself."
Moments later, Simon's face clouded with jealousy. "No way! She couldn't have sold that many so quickly. She must've reused old stock and resold it!"
Convinced by his own theory, he commanded, "Get a hold of one of those products from someone else. We'll expose Janice for selling inferior goods!"
Elsie remained silent, turning to leave. But just before stepping out, she suddenly remembered something. "By the way, your medical report should be ready. Don't forget to check it."
Though Simon had refused to accompany her to the CDC earlier, he had still gone for his routine check-up.
He barely acknowledged Elsie, brushing her off with a wave as he continued to obsessively scroll through every detail on Prosper Stitch Group's website.noveldrama
One in a Million Collective was displayed with breathtaking craftsmanship—each piece more exquisite than the last. If the real crocheted works were even half as stunning as the photos, they would be nothing short of extraordinary.
Simon slammed his fist against the desk, his frustration boiling over.
།
"Why the hell didn't she have these ideas when she was with me? So, all that talent and creativity were wasted back then, only to be poured into Prosper Stitch Group now? That bitch!" He was seething.
After a moment of silence, he grabbed his phone and dialed a number.
A hushed voice answered, "Mr. Fitzgerald?"
"What's the situation at Refined Threads Co.?"
The voice on the other end was one of Simon's old subordinates, now serving as his inside source at Refined Threads Co.
"There's not much to report. The seamstresses are just doing their work as usual. Ms. Smith barely shows up. It's Ms. Watson who's handling everything."
"Anything else?" Simon pressed, eager to figure out Janice's next move so that he could steal her strategies.
"Nothing really. Marie is keeping a firm hold on internal decisions. To be honest, Refined Threads Co. feels more like a large-scale crochet factory. There's barely any
movement."
Frustrated by the lack of useful intel, Simon slammed his phone onto the desk, his irritation mounting.
This wasn't working. At this rate, catching up to Prosper Stitch Group would be next to impossible. He needed a powerful ally-someone with influence and resources.
As he opened Onley Group's website, his gaze immediately landed on their senior
seamstress job listing, which offered a base salary of ten thousand dollars.
As a newcomer to the industry, Onley Group seemed like the ideal choice for
forming an alliance against Prosper Stitch Group.
Without wasting a moment, Simon called Elsie, instructing her to reach out to Onley Group and arrange a meeting.
He paid no attention to the two missed calls from an unknown number, dismissing them without a second thought.
What do you think?
