Tan did not like how Nova interrupted him while he was with Ava.

When Ava began to walk away, lan turned to Nova.

"Why are you here?" he demanded, staring at her furiouslynoveldrama

Nova's eyes trembled as she saw lan's fierce expression.

"I-lan-"

"And what were you saying? Which restaurant did she go to with Luke? Do you start spying on her?"

Nova shook her head. "No way. One of my friends was in the restaurant. She saw her and told me about it." lan tightened his jaw. Just thinking about Ava going on a date with someone made his mind go crazy.

"Stay away from her. Don't dare to bully her."

"When did I bully her?"

"Don't tell anyone that she was with me."

Han's eyes went in the direction where Ava was going. Nova grabbed his hand and said,

"Ian, you have a wound in your arm. Did you get into a fight?"

He yanked his hand away from her. He turned to look at her

"I hope you did not forget that we are done. So far, nothing much has happened between us. Then why did you make her feel uncomfortable by asking what she was doing with me? Did you intend to humiliate her by pretending you are still my girlfriend?"

"No, I-"

lan grabbed her neck and warned her.

"I don't like to raise my hands on women. But if you try to hurt her intentionally, I will kill you."

Nova's eyes widened. She had never seen lan feel so protective for anyone. She assumed lan wanted to spend the night with Ava after seeing her makeover.

But the way lan warned her made her believe it was more than that.

"lan, please don't misunderstand me."

lan let go of her neck and said,

"Don't try to get close to me. And forget her words. I don't need any girls anymore."

His eyes moved to Ava's back as he said,

"I have fixed my gaze on someone. I no longer need new girls to go out every night."

Nova was speechless. She had seen lan go to private rooms in clubs with new girls every other night, but after she became his girlfriend, he never slept with her.

Now when she thought he would go back to his old self and it was the only reason for the breakup, he shocked her with his statement.

After rushing toward Ava, lan reached out and grabbed his hand. He noticed her red eyes, which indicated that she was crying.

He did not want to see her cry.

She was misunderstanding him that Nova was still his girlfriend. It was his fault. He did not tell her about his breakup.

Therefore, he told her about it and the underlying reason for it.

On the other hand,

Ava was taken aback. She was confused by his words.

"You broke up with her for me?"

lan's grip loosened as if he realized what he had just said.

Ava pulled her hand back and said,

"Stop playing with me. I am a simple girl. Just let me live my life like other girls. I don't want to get into your all's lives. I am not the type of girl you think I am. Please don't destroy my life like this."

She almost begged him, not knowing that tears had already fallen on her cheeks.

lan's focus was not on her words but on her tears.

"Stop crying. I am not destroying your life, okay? I was just..."

As if he lost his words, he turned silent.

She took off his jacket and pressed it against his chest.

"Thanks for the jacket," she mumbled.

She turned around to glance around her. It seemed everyone stopped what they

were doing and stared at them.

She tried to figure out how to get on the highway.

lan grabbed her hand, which took her by surprise.

"I am dropping you home," he said, turning his head to her side.

She let out a deep breath and remained quiet.

She was not aware of the alleyways. So her only option for returning home was to go with him.

He returned to his parked car after passing through the alley. He opened the front door for her.

She got inside the car and sat unmoved.

lan came to sit on the driver's seat and started the car.

The whole ride was silent.

Ava's mind kept replaying the words lan had said to her.

She did not even dare to move her head to look at him.

She could not find a reason for him to break up with Nova for her.

'He was lying. There is no way he will break up with his girlfriend for a girl he neglects. He only wants to break me. I can never let him do this to me,' she told herself.

When the car arrived at her house, he pulled it over.

She did not want to spend even a single moment with lan. It had been so many times when he got closer to her.

She could not believe this boy would not make fun of her for this night in the future.

He might be feeling proud that he had seen her looking weak in front of him and his touches.

She tried to open the door but paused when she realized that the door was locked.

She turned to look at lan.

He was not looking at her. His gaze was fixed ahead of him.

"Unlock the door," she mumbled.

When he turned to her, she immediately looked away from him.

She looked down at her lap, waiting for him to unlock the door. However, he did

not do so.

"You wanted to know what had happened between me and Stephen."

She shifted her gaze towards him. He was gazing at her.

"He asked for something that I can't do."

"What did he ask?"

lan moved toward her, which caused her to move back.

Her eyelashes fluttered as he leaned close to her face and replied,

"He asked me to stay away from you. I can't do that because I don't want to do

that."
