Chapter 854 The Special Ferris Wheel
Phoebe was taken aback. She didn't expect Theodore to bring her to an amusement park. This kind of cheesy scene was something you'd only see in old rom-coms.
Theodore unbuckled his seatbelt and, seeing Phoebe still sitting there, said calmly, "Get out of the car."
Phoebe quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car. The amusement park was bustling with noise and excitement. Phoebe followed Theodore to the ticket booth.
In no time, he bought two tickets, and they entered the park after having their tickets checked.
There were vendors selling glow-in-the-dark headbands at the entrance. Phoebe saw the glowing horns on the heads of the lively kids and found it particularly novel.
When she was young, she was busy earning a living, spending weekends tutoring middle school students, and never had the chance to visit an amusement park.
Now, feeling a surge of childlike excitement, she dragged Theodore to a stall, picked up a headband, and tried to put it on Theodore's head.
With his nearly 6-foot height, Phoebe had to stand on tiptoe to reach his head, but he wasn't cooperating at all.
Phoebe was almost pressed against him. "Don't dodge. With these horns, we'll be the coolest people on this street."
The vendor watched them and laughed.
Theodore felt a surge of desire as she brushed against him. If she kept this up, he
might lose control right there. Reluctantly, he lowered his proud head and let her put the horns on him.
After putting on the horns, Phoebe admired him for a while, smiling.
Then she picked a pair of antlers for herself.
They wandered around the park. "What do you want to play?"
Theodore pointed to the farthest Ferris wheel and said, "Let's go on that."
Phoebe's heart pounded. She turned to look at Theodore, who took her by the wrist and led her forward. There were many visitors under the night sky.
Phoebe thought of the legend about the Ferris wheel. Did Theodore bring her to the amusement park because of that legend?
The amusement park was very large. They didn't take the shuttle and walked for half an hour to reach the Ferris wheel, where a long line had formed.
They joined the end of the line. Phoebe glanced around and saw that the people in front were mostly teenagers. She couldn't help but look at Theodore.
He was wearing a simple long coat, and the glowing horns on his head clashed with his elite, domineering CEO look.
She couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Theodore's cold voice came from above.
Phoebe covered her mouth, her voice tinged with laughter, "Oh, nothing. I was just thinking we should take a picture of you right now and turn it into an emoji. It would be hilarious."
Theodore threatened lightly, "I can assure you, you won't live to see tomorrow if you do."
"Wow, I'm so scared." Phoebe's expression showed she wasn't scared at all.
Theodore's eye twitched.
The line moved slowly, with more people joining behind them, mostly teenagers, both boys and girls, and couples.
They stood out in the middle, looking out of place.
Phoebe lowered her voice and asked, "Mr. Reynolds, standing among a bunch of young people, do you feel a lot of pressure?"
Theodore said, "Not really. I've had my youthful years too, but when they reach my age, they may not have my achievements."
Phoebe fell silent.

But Theodore had a point. He was already at the top of the pyramid, a position most people could only dream of.
Soon, it was their turn. There was only one cabin left on the Ferris wheel, surrounded by heart-shaped lights, making it stand out from the others.
As they had their tickets checked, someone behind them exclaimed.
"Wow, they're so lucky to get the True Love Cabin. I'm so jealous."
"Yeah, I heard that couples who ride the True Love Cabin and sincerely pray to God will be together forever, never to part."
Phoebe heard this and followed Theodore into the cabin. The interior was also very romantic, with pink cherry blossom cushions and heart-shaped pillows.
Phoebe saw Theodore calmly sitting on the pink cushion and patted the seat beside him, "Come sit."
She slowly sat down next to him. Theodore's long legs had nowhere to go. Phoebe cleared her throat, "Are Ferris wheels this advanced now?"
It seemed that the old tricks of romance movies no longer worked, so they started with
the chosen couple gimmick. No wonder the Ferris wheel had so many visitors.
Who wouldn't want to be the chosen couple?
Theodore smirked, "Amusement parks are getting more diverse. Without a gimmick, how would they attract visitors?"
Phoebe agreed.
Even though everyone knew it was fake, in this restless society, dating and breaking up were as common as eating and drinking. They still wanted to be each other's one and only.
Phoebe turned to Theodore, "Mr. Reynolds, you've done your homework."
At that moment, the Ferris wheel started moving, and a sweet song played in the cabin.
Phoebe got goosebumps. Was this exclusive music really necessary?
Halfway through the song, the Ferris wheel reached its highest point, and a sweet female voice sounded in the cabin, "Dear lovers, you are about to reach the highest point of the Ferris wheel. Please face the camera and prepare for a kiss. We will capture your most passionate kiss as a keepsake. Countdown: 5, 4, 3..."
Phoebe didn't expect this. She looked up and saw the camera facing them.
She sneaked a glance at Theodore and asked cautiously, "Did you know about this too?"
Theodore didn't answer. He raised his hand to hold her chin and slowly leaned in towards her lips. Phoebe froze, feeling Theodore's breath getting closer, warm and brushing against her face.
When the cabin announced "1," Theodore kissed her. A white light flashed before Phoebe's eyes, and she couldn't tell if it was the camera's flash or something else. Then, with a "boom," the sky exploded with brilliant fireworks.
The kiss lasted from the highest point of the Ferris wheel until it stopped. Only then did Theodore slowly let her go.
He looked down at her flushed cheeks, wiped the shiny liquid from the corner of her lips, and said, "Let's go, time to get off."
Phoebe's face turned bright red, and her legs felt as if they had turned to jelly. She tried to stand up, but quickly fell back into her seat.
Theodore chuckled from his throat and extended his hand to her, "Do you need me to carry you out?"
Phoebe quickly shook her head, "No, no, I can walk myself."noveldrama
Theodore glanced at her again, then walked out first and turned to extend his hand to her. Phoebe stood up, her face still red.
She placed her hand in Theodore's palm and let him lead her out of the cabin.
A staff member quickly approached, "Congratulations to both of you for being tonight's lucky visitors. We captured the most beautiful moment for you as a keepsake."
What do you think?
