Chapter 691
Dillon strolled into the CEO's office, balancing a bundle of clothes.
"Hey, Mr. Casper."
Casper glanced up, eyebrows arching in surprise. "Back already? What happened?"
"Mr. Casper, you really threw me under the bus with that one, sending me to such a place for negotiations. I barely made it back in one piece." Dillon placed the white T-shirt Brian had given him onto Casper's desk. "Your wife sent this for you."
"A gift for me?" Casper's eyes softened with a hint of emotion. Eliza had never bought him clothes before. "Let's have a look."
He tore open the bag and pulled out the T-shirt.
Dillon thought to himself... A short sleeve in the dead of winter?
Plus, this plain white tee screamed promotional item.
Casper, far from being displeased, joyfully slipped it on. "Fits like a glove, as if it
was made just for me. What do you think, Dillon?"
Dillon forced a grin and gave him a thumbs-up.
"Your wife really loves you."
"I feel it too. It's amazing to be cared for and cherished." Once he had it on, he didn't want to take it off. "This is Eliza's love. I've got to wear it, always."
Dillon kept his thoughts to himself.
After showing off, Casper switched gears. "Hold on, did you sign the contract? And then just hightail it back here?"
"I signed part of it. The rest... let's just say it's not happening." If he'd stayed in Bathton any longer, he might never have made it back to Falconridge. "Mr. Casper, you knew how things were over there... The world's big enough, let's skip that market from now on."
Seeing Dillon's deeply aggrieved look, Casper let it slide.noveldrama
"Fine, we won't go there. Actually, it's perfect timing. I need to take some time to
go with my fiancée for our wedding photos, so you'll need to hold down the fort at the office."
"Absolutely, Mr. Casper." Dillon nodded respectfully. "Have you set a date for the wedding?"
"Next spring, I think. I'll have my mom pick a good day, and then we'll tie the knot."
He was eagerly looking forward to that day.
He'd even started imagining how wonderful they'd look as they embarked on their journey to happiness together.
Initially, Casper had just casually mentioned taking wedding photos to Eliza without setting a firm date.
Recently, the bridal shop called him, saying they had a new collection of wedding dresses in and asked if they had time for the bride to try on some styles.
Casper figured it was about time.
He brought it up with Eliza when he got home.
"So sudden? Tomorrow?" she asked, a bit taken aback.
Casper confirmed, "Yep, it's booked for tomorrow. I'll go with you, and you can choose whatever style you like. This bridal studio is pretty well-known in Falconridge. Check it out and see if you like it."
Since it was already set, Eliza didn't put up any fuss. "Alright then."
The next morning, bright and early, Casper drove Eliza to the bridal studio.
The manager displayed the latest wedding dress styles for Eliza to see.
Additionally, a staff member presented albums for Eliza to choose the photography style.
Eliza had never taken wedding photos before, so she listened to their suggestions.
"Mrs. Welton, these dresses are from a renowned designer in Milan. If any catch your eye, feel free to try them on," the manager said enthusiastically, with service to match.
Eliza, overwhelmed by the choices, subtly hooked Casper's finger. "Which one do you think looks nice?"
"I think you'll look amazing in any of them. Maybe decide on the photo style you
want first, and then they can recommend a dress or gown style?"
Eliza nodded, thinking Casper made sense. "Okay."
The staff quickly handed her an album and began explaining, "Mrs. Welton these styles were shot in Southeast Asia, and these were done in Europe. I think both would suit you perfectly."
Eliza gently shook her head.
Wedding photos were supposed to be a keepsake.
She didn't want to travel abroad for them.
Seeing her shake her head, the staff picked up another thick album. "Mrs. Welton,
we have many beautiful styles shot right here at home too."
What do you think?
