Chapter 733
"Making a big deal out of nothing," he chuckled.
"Mind sharing what's on your mind?" she asked, the tiny water droplets on her face and damp hair adding an extra layer of allure.
A fierce love sparked in his eyes as he reached for her neck, his fingers gently brushing her skin before their lips met in an instant. Their noses touched, breaths mingling in the air.
Her eyes, dreamy, slowly opened, gazing at him like a serene river in spring. "Have you been drinking?"
"Just a little," he admitted.
"You really don't take care of yourself, do you?"
He took a deep breath, pulling her closer into his arms, holding her tight. "Elle, I'm always trying to be a good husband. Can you feel that?"
"I can. You're improving," she acknowledged warmly.
"That's a relief." He wished he could hold her like this forever.
She nestled against him, savoring the rare moment they had together.
He lay back casually, his eyes gently closed, half-leaning against the hot tub's edge. His long, defined arms rested effortlessly on the rim, exuding a laid-back ease and contentment.
She glanced at him, her eyes filled with tenderness and concern, taking in every detail. He seemed leaner.
The contours of his face were more pronounced, every line perfectly in place. The subtle motion of his Adam's apple accentuated his masculine charm, his nose straight, and lips sensual.
His damp hair fell casually over his forehead, water droplets sliding down, creating gentle ripples in the tub. This untamed side of him had an unrefined wildness.
Usually, he wore glasses, probably to tone down this sharp edge.
She laughed softly, amused at her own daydreaming about him.
Hearing her laughter, he lifted his gaze slightly, his long eyelashes fluttering, his dark eyes half-open. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing," she quickly stifled her smile, her eyes darting to the nearby grandfather clock. "It's getting late; I should head up."
"Together," he said, scooping her up from the water, stepping out of the hot tub with her in his arms. "Let's grab something tasty later."
"The soak's made me sleepy," she murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck, her rosy lips. brushing his ear with a hint of mischief. "Casper, I'm feeling a bit... in the mood."
He paused, caught off guard. In all their years together, she'd never been so straightforward.
For a moment, he forgot how to respond. She continued, her arms still around his neck. "They say when
a woman's in the mood, it's easier to conceive, maybe have a daughter."
"Let's go home," he said, his voice tinged with anticipation. His earlier frustrations melted away.
As they pulled into Welton Estate, he didn't even bother closing the car door before carrying her upstairs.
He laid her on the bed, not exactly gently. Her small hands tugged at his shift, expertly finding his chest muscles, each touch stoking his desire.
"Casper, you're in pretty good shape," she teased, looking up into his eyes. "Don't let me down later."
His breath caught, eyes darkening. "You realize you're playing with fire? If you can't make it to work tomorrow, don't blame me."
She wrapped her arms around his neck, her lips drawing closer. "I bet you, Mr. Casper, it'll only be three times tonight."
A challenge, huh?
He had to admit, it worked on him.
His hand grasped her chin, applying just enough pressure. "That depends on how much Mrs. Welton can handle."
"Don't get cocky," she laughed, her dimples like sweet snares.
The kiss hit like a storm, sudden and all-consuming. She surrendered, closing her eyes, letting instinct guide her as she welcomed his embrace.
Their night together seemed endless, leaving her feeling like she was floating and sinking among the stars.noveldrama
