Chapter 105
"The one who attacked the Miller was William." Patrick said.
"What?"
"You think that Zed can beat William?" Patrick raised his eyes and looked at Allen expressionlessly, "If the matter gets out of control, Zed can be blamed and out."
At that time, he wanted to settle old scores and also be the Patrick in the past.
Allen suddenly realized, "So that's how it is, Miller will also be injured a lot."
This was the same as killing one thousand enemies and damaging himself with eight hundred.
"How can I get rid of the tumor without holding back?" Patrick said coldly.
"You are right."
Allen nodded, observing Patrick's expression, and could not help but ask, "Does you have any troubles recently, I'm willing to share the worries."
Patrick raised his eyes and asked, "What's wrong?"
"I can see that you were very happy when you recovered your memory. You were smiling when you did things." Allen said, "But you seem to be in a bad mood these past two days."
These two days, Patrick had obviously slacked off his work, as if he was no longer as anxious as before.
Patrick's expression turned cold once more.
When he had just recovered his memories, he still did not know about the relationship between Alice and William, nor did he know that Alice would be wavering for another man.
He was no longer sure if she was still there when he was clean and single.
Patrick suddenly laughed bitterly, staring at the medicine box in his hand. He said
in a low voice, "It's too late, I get my memory back too late."
Just a little earlier.
Allen looked at his superior with disappointment and didn't know what to say.
The phone on the desk suddenly vibrated.
Patrick gave a casual glance, but with that glance, he sat up straight -
"Patrick, I want you to convince Rosanna to join this plan. As long as I can successfully leave William, I will not pursue what she has done."
It was a text from Alice.
She had finally made her decision.
She planned to leave William in the end. This signified that her heart still hadn't fallen onto that man.
There was still time.
"Hah."
Patrick suddenly laughed.
The assistant Allen stood there in shock, staring at Patrick blankly. He only saw that Patrick was smiling at his phone, the smile on his lips was especially deep, and his feminine face became especially flirtatious.
"Hurry up and end this." Patrick curled his lips, his slender fingers holding onto his phone, "I can't wait any longer."
Uh, Patrick's mood seems to be better again.
Allen had no clue.
Patrick stared at the text message on his phone for a long time, carefully
pondering over each word. Finally, he typed in a word.
[Sure.]
Whatever she said, he would agree.
It was another brand-new day, and also the day that William would return to his country.
Port of Heaven, kitchen.
Alice was busy cooking, and the two maids helped her put the prepared dishes into the thermostats.
There was a phone on the flow table, and the Mobile Screen displayed William's text message before he boarded the plane
[Pick me up! Pick me up! Pick me up! If I don't see you when I landed, you're dead! Once I get home, if I don't get to eat the food you made, you're dead for sure!]
Presumptuous, savage, and stinking man.
William's plane was about to arrive in an hour. She was still cooking and had not stopped for the entire morning.
When William returned, it was like an emperor returning to his dynasty.
"Miss.Clyne, should you go and pick up the plane?" the maid reminded her.
Alice glanced at the time on her phone. It would take at least half an hour to get to the airport.
"Alright, I'll go pick up the plane. You guys clean up the kitchen a bit more."
Alice said as she took off her apron.
"Miss.Clyne, do you want to make up?" the maid asked.
"No."
Could it be that she was really dressed up like a lover to meet William and please him?
She just wanted to be free.
Patrick had already convinced Rosanna, and was only waiting for William to return before acting according to the plan.
Alice hurriedly walked out of the kitchen with a bag in hand. Afraid that it would
not be good to call a taxi at this moment, Alice drove the car William gave her last time.
Alice drove the car smoothly on the road, reached out to the radio and turned it
on.
The news was being broadcast on the radio.
[Miller Group's stock market had fallen to its lowest point this morning, causing heavy losses to the citizens, and many people had gathered outside the Miller Group to ask for an explanation. The people of Miller said that they would immediately do something to save the situation, so rest assured, Zed, the director, will resign.]
Miller's stock market fell to its lowest point?
While stocks are risky, it was unlikely to suddenly fall to their lowest levels.
The foster father resigned because of this?
Alice opened her eyes wide in shock and continued to drive. Suddenly, she remembered what Patrick had said before.
It was William who was attacking the Miller.
Had Patrick known this from the beginning, or could he not have dealt with it? How could he let her adoptive father resign?
The foster father was a person who desperately wanted to get on the board of directors. How could he be willing to put in so Miller effort just because his foster father wanted to be on the board of directors? Mary would also cause a ruckus.
Forget it, because this was none of her business.
Alice shook her head and stopped thinking about it. Her phone suddenly vibrated, she switched on the voice amplifying button and continued driving, "Hello?"
"Alice, it's me." foster mother Zoey's voice came out, her voice carried a tinge of sobs, as though she was crying.
Foster mother.
"Mom!" Alice realized that she shouldn't yell again the moment she started talking, but
what could she call her if she didn't. Her lips moved, making it difficult for her to speak, "Is there something you want to talk to me about?"
"Alice, can you come over? I fell down the stairs of Miller Group and couldn't even stand up, but no one passed by." Zoey choked with emotions, her voice sounded extremely helpless.
"What?"
Hearing that, Alice immediately pulled over the car and picked up her phone, "How are you?"
"I don't know. It hurts so that I can't stand up." Zoey said with complete hopelessness.
Alice bit her lips, "Where's daddy?"
"Don't you know that something has happened to Miller today? Everyone is in a meeting, I don't dare to disturb your father, nor do I dare to disturb Patrick and the others." Zoey said sorrowfully, "Can you come?"
Alice hesitated. She didn't really want to go to the Miller Group.
Sensing her silence, Zoey said sorrowfully, "Forget it, forget it, I shouldn't bother you. I'll just wait a little longer, there might be someone passing by."
"You can report to 911."
"That won't do, now that there's an ambulance leaving Miller, isn't it supposed more negative news?"
Zoey was worried about the image of the Miller even though she couldn't stand
up.
Alice looked at the time. Miller Group wasn't far from here, so she should be able to catch the flight in time.
She decisively turned around and asked, "Which floor of the Miller did you crash into? I'll come look for you now."
"The fifth floor." Hearing that, Zoey was overjoyed, "That's great, Alice, thank you." "Then I'll hang up first. I'll be there immediately. Don't move."
Alice turned around and stepped on the throttle hard, heading towards the Miller Group.
She parked her car in front of the Miller Group, and saw a lot of people holding banners outside the group building, shouting loudly. On the banners, there were many bloody words - Give me back my money.
Looks like Miller really met with a crisis this time.
Alice ran in but stopped by the security guards.
She called Zoey on the video call. The security guard recognized that it was from CEO's mother-in-law, and allowed her to pass.
The moment she entered the Miller Group, she found that it was a little messy inside. Everyone had hurried their steps, like walking with the wind.
The elevator was always full, and the staff were all crowded, all looking nervous.noveldrama
No wonder foster mother didn't take the elevator.
The elevator was too occupied to squeeze through.
Alice found a staircase and ran up to the fifth floor.
On the resting platform on the fifth floor, Zoey sat there with her hands on her calves. Her graceful face was filled with pain and her eyes were red.
"Mom."
Alice walked towards her.
"Alice!" Seeing her, Zoey's face was filled with surprise and joy, as though she
was looking at her savior. She immediately extended a hand towards her.
Alice carefully helped her up, "Be careful. How is it, can you stand up?"
Zoey frowned deeply, "It's painful, it's really painful. Slow down Alice, they are all busy, I don't know who they are calling, I can only think of you."
She sounded a little embarrassed.
Alice helped her up, and her eyes dimmed.
She always thought of her father and Mary first, but she never thought of her.
Alice pursed her lips a little bitterly, "I'll send you to the hospital."
"No, wait, I want to go up and see your dad first." Zoey said, "If the Board of Directors wants your father to resign, how can such a proud person like your father be willing to give up, I wonder what the situation is like."
"Since you're already like this, why don't you see a doctor first?"
Alice said.
"I'm worried about that. Alice, help me up there." Zoey looked at her pleadingly. "Good Alice, I'm really worried about your father."
Alice stood there and didn't move. She really wanted to say something.
Zoey stood there and looked at her. Her gaze lost, but she didn't force Alice, and instead released her hand. She walked forward alone, and after just taking a step,
her body swayed back and forth in pain, falling onto the ground.
Alice immediately supported her.
"Let me help you up." Alice compromised.
Alice supported her as she walked two steps forward.
Seeing that, Alice frowned, she bent down and carried Zoey on her back, and
started chewing on the straps of her bag.
"Alice!"
Zoey looked at her in shock.
Zoey was a little busty, and carried it with some difficulty.
"Alice, Mom has truly let you down." Zoey lied down on her back, looking at her
strenuous appearance, she felt very guilty. "Back then, I should have endured it a little, not letting your father kick you out of the family."
Alice was a good girl, and she had never made them worry.
Other than being remembered and pestered by Patrick in university for a few
years without doing anything bad. Parents should be taught, not expelled.
Hearing Zoey's words, Alice's eyes became darker. That's right, she was no longer a member of Clyne.
What do you think?
