Chapter 84
Another man in front of me
***
He glanced at Daniel and said, "She really likes student uniform. It would be best
if you could prepare a few more sets."
Everyday, he would watch as Alice changed into another set of student uniform.
He could be in a good mood.
"Huh?"
Daniel was still confused, student uniform?
Didn't Miss Alice dislike uniforms? Why did she like them now?
Alice walked into House A alone in anger. She pulled her jacket tighter and rushed to change her clothes.
Coming down from the mountain, she wanted to take off the student uniform, but how could William not let her do it?
She hurriedly entered, but suddenly, a slender figure appeared at the corner in front of her.
Alice almost crashed into it.
"Alice." Patrick stood in front of her. The shirt and trousers on his body did not have the slightest crease to it.
When they bumped into each other, there was a hint of surprise in his eyes. After that, he softly said her name, and a smile appeared on his face. It was as if a spring breeze had just passed by.
"..." Alice did not expect to meet Patrick at this time, the expression on her face stiffened a little, "It's you."
Ever since she found out that she lived with Patrick and Mary in Building A, she had purposely avoided them.
Today, she was in such a hurry. She didn't think of anything else as she ran into Building A.
"Coming back so early?"
Patrick looked at her suspiciously, his gaze landing on her neck, his devilish face immediately went pale.
Alice detected his gaze and immediately covered her neck with her hand.
She didn't need to look to know that her neck was covered with kisses imprinted by William...
Both were silent.
She stood there, silent, with her hand on her neck.
Her relationship and William was not normal, the Clyne family had known about this, but when she was suddenly met by Patrick, an awkward feeling seeped into her bones.
Patrick did not speak, nor did he move, he just stood there, as if he was nailed there.
The air in the corridor froze.
A series of footsteps suddenly sounded out from behind Alice.
It was William.
Alice stood there, her heart unknowingly tensed up.
Footsteps disappeared beside her.
"Why are you running so fast?" William walked to Alice's side and stood, then placed a hand on her shoulder and pulled her into his embrace. Sensing the tension in her body, he couldn't help but chuckle, "What are you doing?"
Her body was as stiff as a rock.
Worried that he would continue to "eat" her?
Alice lowered her face, unable to raise her head.
William's open and direct words were trampling on her dignity, but she was incapable of resisting, and she didn't even have the courage to see Patrick's expression.
"Mr. William." Patrick's voice suddenly resounded, no tone could be heard. William hugged Alice and then looked at Patrick, sneering disdainfully, "So it's you, brother-in-law."
The word "brother-in-law" came out of his mouth smoothly, but also harshly.
Patrick had always been a person who didn't care about other people's business, and never liked arguing with others. Alice thought that he would just leave after exchanging a few words with her.
In the end, she heard Patrick say with a smile, "With the relationship between Mr. William and Alice, it doesn't seem to be appropriate to call me brother-in-law."
Patrick said with a smile, but his words were filled with provocation.
Alice looked at Patrick in shock.
Patrick was still standing there, smiling, he did not seem to have any intention of attacking, his gaze landed on the hand William was using to support her shoulders.
Alice did not understand whether he was humiliating her for being William's mistress.
She admitted that she was stupid and did not understand what Patrick meant.
But she could feel the big hand on her shoulder slowly tightening.
"Of course you don't have the honor." William sneered, his voice filled with ridicule, "Your family just playing with cosmetics, how are you qualified to be related to me, William?"
Patrick smiled without saying a word.
Alice could hear the suppressed anger in William's tone and immediately pulled his shirt, "Let's go in."
She didn't want to stay here any longer.
William glanced at Patrick gloomily, and without saying a word, he carried Alice and left.
The elevator door opened.
Just as the two were about to enter, they heard Patrick's calm voice sound out from behind them, "Mr. William might not know this, but cosmetics are women's most intimate things. Women can leave any man, but they cannot leave cosmetics. So don't look down on cosmetics."
If Patrick's provocation just now was not obvious, then with this sentence, Patrick had completely revealed his strong provocation.
William's body tensed up as he hugged Alice, and his expression got ugly. He turned his head and looked at Patrick coldly, "What do you mean? Who do you suggest will leave? Who do you think you are better than?"
William found the key point.
"Mr. William is a smart person, he naturally understands." Patrick looked straight
at William, with a slight smile on his lips the entire time.
"I don't understand!"
"That can only mean that Mr. William really doesn't understand women." Patrick said with a smile.
Alice was shocked when she felt the tension between the two men.
She didn't understand, how could William and Patrick get into a fight over cosmetics?
In the The Isle of the Clouds, they were still fine. William had a temper that would easily get angered. He would argue with anyone, but Patrick's cultivation was always good, so why did he keep provoking William today?
William's face was ashen as he glared at Patrick. Suddenly, out of anger, he laughed instead, and said with a cold voice. "Patrick, I've finally gotten to know you for real today!" Very good.
Originally, the Miller family was just collateral of his revenge, now, he wanted them all dead.
"My pleasure."
Patrick smiled slightly.
With just a few cold words, Patrick had the upper hand. He looked at Alice who was beside him, carefully putting away the sadness in his eyes, and turned to walk out.
When he saw her in the arms of another, he could only speak a few words of provocation.
"If a woman really cannot do without cosmetics, I, William, will burn all the cosmetics in the world!" William's arrogant voice rang behind him, "I have the ability, including burning your entire family!"
Different from Patrick's hidden killing intent, William was direct and cruel.
Patrick's footsteps paused for a moment, then continued to walk forward as if he didn't hear anything.
Alice stood there, looking at Patrick's figure that was getting further and further away, with confusion in her eyes.
Patrick seemed to have really changed. He had never liked arguing with others before, and William did not offend him either.
William coldly watched Patrick as he left, and suddenly turned to look at her. His black eyes were filled with malice, and his voice was cold and harsh, "Does this
man like you?"
Does this man like you?
Does this man like you?
Alice clenched her fists at the side, her face was so stiff that she could not squeeze out a single emotion.
"I'm asking you, does this man like you?" William slapped her on the head, dissatisfied with her silent reaction.
Alice's scalp went numb from the slap, and after a long while, she bit her lips, "What nonsense are you spouting, you clearly know that he is Mary's husband, and you are going to the wedding too."
She didn't forget Daniel's reminder. She mustn't let William know that she had had
a relationship with Patrick.
That would break the most frightening bottom line of a paranoia.
"His reaction was clearly to treat me as a love rival." William said coldly.
"You're thinking too much."
Alice tried her best to maintain her normal tone, and walked towards the elevator,
but was stopped by William.
Her heart leaped to her throat.
William pulled her arm, staring at her with his eyes. His gaze was as sharp as the edge of a blade, trying to find something out from her face.
Alice felt like she was being slashed by blades.
She almost held her breath as her eyes focused on William, watching him silently.
She wasn't lying, Patrick indeed didn't like her, she had nothing to be afraid of.
The two stood there without moving and the elevator door automatically closed.
It made a slight sound.
William closely stared at her face, not letting a single detail escape from his eyes. After a long while, William finally let go of her and said coldly, "Did he fail setting
his cap on you and turned to your sister?"
There was nothing in her face. He had another hypothesis.noveldrama
Patrick's hostility towards him could not have come for no reason.
"How is this possible?" Alice said, her lips were so stiff that she could not control
herself, and there was nothing abnormal with her voice.
Was Patrick setting his cap on her?
How could it be that? She was the one taking the initiative, and now, she had
given up.
"How is that impossible? Your little sister is so ugly, but he also likes her. It must
be because he has his eyes on you and failed, that he takes a step back." William firmly believed in his conclusion. He embraced her in his arms and said disdainfully, "The things that have attached to your family are indeed nothing valuable, the further you stay away, the better!"
Thinking about it, he was satisfied with the fact that Alice and the Clyne family had
no ties.
Alice was carried into the elevator by William. After hearing her answer, William did not bother anymore with it, and his expression slowly became better. He hugged her tightly, moving his hands up and down from time to time, taking advantage of her.
Alice allowed him to do as he pleased without the slightest bit of strength to struggle.
She survived this.
Although she had never seen William being jealous before, she still thought that it was better not to see him being that for all eternity.
William hugged her and played with her fingers for a while. Seeing that she was
not resisting at all, he frowned, and looked at her pale face in displeasure, "What
are you absent-mindedly thinking about? You're not thinking about that brother-in- law of yours, are you?
"I didn't." Alice shook his head.
"Good." William lowered his head, his chin resting on her shoulder. The thin lip
was practically pressed up against her face, his voice was low and arrogant, "If you dare think of another man in front of me, I'll..."
What do you think?
