My Lord, My Billionaire Master

Chapter 90

Alice was confused by his actions.

Why did he close the door?

"Alice, aren't you being too ridiculous? What are you trying to do, to stay in this room and crawl from the balcony to the next room to eavesdrop? Aren't you afraid of falling?" Patrick frowned, he looked at her nervously, and chided, "This is the eighth floor."

Did she not take her life seriously?

Alice looked at him blankly, "You already know about it."

He did see her following her.

"Yes."

Patrick's breathing became unsteady. He looked at her intently, afraid that if he didn't look at her, she would disappear from his sight and climb to the 8th floor's balcony.

"Then what do you want?"

Alice stood back dejectedly, her eyes drooping low, she said in a broken tone, "Yes, I'm following Mary, are you going to call the police or something?"

Call the police.

Alice reckoned that when William went into the Police station to get her out, he would be extremely angry. Alice could imagine that William would definitely pinch her ears and curse her as he bailed her out.

Hearing this, a hint of dejection flashed across Patrick's face as he laughed bitterly, "Why do you think I'm going to call the police?"

Was he so intolerable in her eyes?

Alice looked at him, puzzled.

Would he let her go if he didn't call the police?

"If I'm going to call the police, why did I knock on the door? I could just wait for

you to crawl over and catch you." Patrick said, his voice was bitter.

When he went out, he found out that she was following Mary's car, so he quickly followed.

He didn't know what she was going to do, but he was afraid something might happen to her.

Seeing her using a binoculars to observe, and then stay in the room next to Mary's, he vaguely guessed what she would do. She used to have a lot of guts, unlike a girl, she dared to climb trees, windows, and walls.

But this was the eighth floor, how could he dare to let her go?

Alice was stunned upon hearing his words.

Would he really not do anything to her? Wasn't he going to call the police to arrest her?

"May I sit down?" Patrick asked.

Alice nodded, "Take a seat."

A polite and distant tone.

Patrick sat down on the sofa, leaned his body slightly forward, and pressed his aching forehead with his hand.

As time passed, both of them were silent.

Alice leaned against the wall, and in the end, couldn't help but break the deathly silence, "Aren't you curious why I was following Mary?"

From the moment he appeared to the time he sat here, he had never asked her why.

Hearing this, Patrick sat up straight, his eyes looking straight at her face, he laughed lightly: "You have your reasons for doing things, if you want to say it, I will listen, if you don't want to say it, I will also not force you."

He had never liked to control her, ever since she was young. Whatever she wanted to do, he would support her.

Except, of course, for dangerous things.

Alice looked at him in shock, her emotions surging with indescribable waves.

He actually did not defend Mary? She was following his wife.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Patrick asked.

"Patrick, you are truly different."

She said.

Ever since he lost his memories, when had he seriously listened to what she said? Every word she said was wrong. Even when she asked for help, he coldly said, "Collect her corpse..."

Now, he said that she definitely had her own reasons for what she did, and not defend Mary.

Patrick looked at her, the light in his eyes moving slightly.

It was not that he was different, but he had finally become the past Patrick.

Even though the words at the tip of his mouth had rolled twice, Patrick still did not say it. He looked at her face, stared at her eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips.

Alice felt a little uncomfortable being looked at, and did not know what to say. "Mary hasn't left, let's find a safe way to eavesdrop."

Patrick said as he guessed her purpose for coming out today. His gentle voice carried an indescribable tiredness.

He had to help her do it before he left, or else she would take the risk again.

Alice was completely dumbstruck. Did he want to help her eavesdrop?

Patrick stood up and asked, "Did you bring the silver box that can be inserted into your phone?"

Silver box?

Alice looked at him in shock. It took a few seconds for her to completely understand what was going on.

It turned out that the reason why she had so easily obtained Mary's phone at Miller Family was because Patrick had secretly helped her. At that time, he suddenly sent everyone away, leaving her alone.

She thought it was luck.

"You were the one who helped me that day." she said haltingly.

Patrick did not deny, and only asked, "Did you bring it?"

"Yes."

Alice walked to the side, opened up her backpack and took out a silver box. She had this with her all along, just in case she needed it.

"Give it to me." Patrick took it from her hand and glanced at it indifferently, "This is a advanced version of eavesdropping equipment. Will it work when the phone is switched off?"

Alice stiffly nodded, "Yes."

The virus program that William gave her was too invincible, it could turn the phone into a bug. If Rosanna and Mary didn't come here without communication device, she wouldn't have followed them, she just needed to eavesdrop at home.

"Hmm." Patrick nodded, then walked out, "Wait here for me for a while."

Alice watched as he left, she was completely confused.

What was he trying to do?

A few minutes later, Patrick returned to her room and looked at her at the door, gesturing for her to come over.

Alice walked over with suspicion. Patrick opened the door a crack and saw a uniformed waiter pushing a food station over. He gave a "OK" sign towards Patrick.

Alice was even more confused.

"Come here, don't make a sound."

Patrick pulled her and brought Alice over. They leaned against the cold wall together and leaned on each other's shoulders.

She was stunned. Suddenly, she heard someone knocking on the door outside.

The waiter's sweet voice rang out, "Hello, I'm here to deliver your meal."

The waiter knocked on Mary's door.

Then came the sound of the door opening.

Suddenly, her hand was tightened and she lowered her head. She saw Patrick holding her hand firmly.

Her eyes froze, and her heart stopped for a second.

The next second, she took her hand out and put it behind her back.

Patrick pressed his back against the wall, sensing her movements. His hands were hanging stiffly on the ground, but he didn't say anything.

From the direction of the room next door, Mary's voice that was naturally childish, came over, "I didn't order a meal."

"It's a gift from our hotel. Please accept it." The waiter was picking up something. "No need, take it away." Mary chased him out unhappily. "Alright, please accept this bottle of red wine. Miss, I wish you a pleasant stay." After a few words, the next door closed and a waiter pushed the dining car over.

Patrick pulled open the door, and the waiter nodded towards Patrick with a smile. He said softly, 'Tve already followed your instructions, so I'll be leaving first."

Patrick nodded.

With that, the waiter left.

Patrick closed the door and Alice asked in confusion, "What did he do?"

"Throw my phone into the next room." Patrick said.

His cell phone was in the next room?

"It's easy for my phone to make noise, so I turned it off. Only then it would be

safe." Patrick said calmly, "And on that phone, I have already inserted your eavesdropping program."

Alice looked at him in a daze.

He implanted his cell phone with a virus, turned it into a bug, and moved it through the waiter to the next room.

In other words, she only needed to go back and listen to what Rosanna and Mary

had said.

It was a foolproof method indeed.

"You can go back and listen." Patrick said once again, "Then I'll be leaving first."

With that, Patrick opened the door and prepared to leave.

Alice looked at his back, and tightly clenched her hands behind her back, and

could not help but ask, "Why are you helping me?"

What he had done was far beyond her expectations.

He was Mary's husband, but now he was helping her listen to Mary's secret and

did not ask for the reason.

Patrick's figure paused at the door.

He was silent.

"Why are you helping me?" Alice asked again.

"Do you want to know the answer?"

Patrick did not turn back, his voice was clear and cold, his voice was suppressed

low, as though it came from the throat with difficulty.

In the large room, the air was still.

Sunlight broke through the balcony and shone on the dark wood floor.

Alice stood behind him and looked at his back in shock. An inexplicable feeling

surged in her heart, and after a long while, she heard her own voice sounding in

the quiet room, "Of course I want to know the answer."

Why did he sound like she should know the answer?

But she really didn't know.

What was he thinking?

Why on earth did he do all this?

Patrick stood at the doorway for almost a minute, reached out to close the door,

then slowly turned around and looked straight at her, the loneliness in his eyes was fully revealed.noveldrama

Alice looked at him blankly, unable to understand why he looked so lonely.

Suddenly, Patrick laughed and walked towards her step by step. He placed his hand on the wall.

In that moment, Alice felt an illusion, as if she was seeing a young Patrick walking

towards her.

When he was young, Patrick had no vision, so he could only use his fingers to touch the wall as he slowly walked towards her.

Seeing his actions, Alice's face became deathly pale.

Reality and the past were mixed before her eyes.

Patrick walked in front of her and looked down at her pale complexion. The

loneliness in his eyes gradually dissipated.

She still remembered, didn't she?

She had given up on him, but she still remembered their past.

His face slowly revealed a smile, his lips moved, just as he was about to speak,

an intense pain assaulted his head, Patrick immediately held his head, then fell down towards her.

Alice suddenly woke up from her confused memories, and promptly supported him, "Are you alright?"
