Chapter 2785
A tall, slender man walked in. He wore glasses and sported curly hair. He was dressed in a fitted suit and held a thick folder, exuding an air of sophistication. "Elohim, how is the situation?" Nakasha asked.
Elohim Cabeza shook his head.
"Not optimistic." He opened the folder he was holding.
"All the people I could contact are listed here. I still haven't reached about one- third of them. I'm afraid..."
"I see." Nakasha set the folder aside.
"Has the building been searched?"
"It has been searched. No abnormalities were found." Elohim pulled out another document.noveldrama
"But many eyes are now gathering around the perimeter of the building. We're likely in a passive position."
"I see." Nakasha turned to Banjo.
"Sir, what's your opinion?"
Banjo understood very well that the current predicament stemmed from his own actions. Moreover, according to Elohim, there had already been casualties, so he had to take responsibility.
"Tomorrow is the day for the leaders of both countries to meet, right?" Banjo asked in a tone that suggested he had made a firm decision.
Nakasha and Elohim seemed to grasp his thoughts and nodded resolutely.
Banjo continued, "In that case, we have no way to retreat. After tomorrow, everything might come to an end, so let's seize the opportunity.
"Now, in my capacity as the leader of the Siege Point Organization, I declare the initiation of the final confidential file, Zero.
"Revolution has begun, and Siege Point will officially challenge the authority of the royal family. We do not seek destruction; we only desire peace."
Afterward, the two left.
At that moment, Peter, who had been watching quietly from the side, asked, "Uncle Banjo, what do you really want to do? What does Zero mean?"
Banjo realized it was unnecessary to conceal the truth any longer. Peter was intelligent, so he deemed it important to share his plan.
"The confidential file Zero is the ultimate plan devised for the survival of the organization. It'll be activated when the organization faces the brink of annihilation. We took a vow with our lives to die fighting against our enemies."
"Fight?" Peter understood now.
Although Banjo spoke delicately, their true aim was to overthrow the royal family. As Banjo's nephew, Peter felt a surge of anger.
"Uncle Banjo, what do you mean by this?! My father may be stubborn, but does that justify your intention to kill him?"
However, Banjo patiently replied, "Child, if we don't take action, we'll die at your father's hands first."
Upon hearing this, Peter fell silent. From Elohim's earlier remarks, he understood that one-third of the organization's members might have already met with misfortune. Were they not innocent as well?
Banjo continued, "I also said earlier that we'd only resort to this when absolutely necessary. Child, remember, a meaningless death only affects you while resistance shows your opponent your true nature.
"I don't ask for anything from you, but I urge you to think carefully before making a decision. You don't need to side with anyone. But I want to tell you that everything we do is for peace and not for anything else."
What do you think?
