Chapter 2818
Ultimately, it was now a question of whether Power would first succumb to the corrosion of Death's energy or if Nash would be consumed by the searing fire. Everything rested on fate.
By this point, most of Nash's inner true energy was already exhausted. Without hesitation, he drew back the powers of the Skyshard Armor and the All Souls Token within him, gambling it all on this final chance.
The temperature around them rose sharply, and as Nash's true energy ignited, countless sparks flew through the air. The two continued their life-or-death struggle, unyielding. It was as if every blow carried the weight of their fates.
Then came a thunderous explosion that shook the air and blanketed everything in silence. Emerging from the debris, Clint and the others wasted no time. They rushed directly toward the heart of the blast.
As they approached, they found Nash's and Power's charred forms lying motionless on the ground. Clint quickly checked on Nash's condition, his voice trembling. "The burns are severe, but he's alive!" Hearing this, Sven and Thresmund let out sighs of relief, joy lighting up their weary faces. Nash had won.
Suddenly, an unsettling sound came from Power. Everyone turned and looked at him warily. Despite his charred, lifeless appearance, Power managed a faint movement. Though the flames had consumed him, somehow, he still clung to a sliver of life.
They quickly realized, however, that Power's true energy had completely dissipated. Now, Death's energy that was within him was slowly consuming what remained of his being, ensuring that he would meet his end in relentless agony without the strength to resist.
Just then, Nash opened his eyes. Although he had survived, his own condition was critical. He had severe burns covering his body, and his true energy was completely depleted as he struggled to sit up.
He steadied his breathing and then channeled the last remnants of his true energy to activate the All Souls Token, hoping to ease his injuries. Just then, a figure emerged from the ruins.
"Who are you?" Clint asked warily.noveldrama
The person removed their hat and sunglasses, smiling slightly. "Relax. For now, I'm not your enemy. Could you let me take Stephen?"
Everyone instinctively wanted to
object, but Nash stopped them. "It's fine. At the very end, it was Powere
himself who released the triggernet
point seal. That means he's no longer capable of causing any trouble.
"Even without Death's energy, the otherworldly fire within him will soon be fatal. He's now just a regular human without any true energy. There's no way he can pull anything off now."
Hearing this, the others finally relaxed, lowering their guard.
The man looked down at the charred figure of Power. "Stephen, it seems you lost this time."
A faint voice emerged from Power's lips. "Ironsteel? Is that you?"
"It's me, but I didn't come here to save you."
"I see... Then, let's finish this quickly."
In the next moment, Ironsteel drew a dagger from behind him and drove it through Stephen's body.
"See you in hell, Stephen."
"Alright, Tony... I'll be waiting."
With that, Stephen breathed his last.
His body crumbled into ash,
dispersing into the sky. Ironsteel
surveyed the surrounding ruins and
glanced at the empty ground where
Stephen had been. There was no forgiving Stephen's actions.
