Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 306

Then, she gently asked, "Sir, could you please step aside? You're blocking my way."

Her tone and gaze were as if she were speaking to a stranger.

Brad wanted to say something, but Nadine had already turned and walked away while he was momentarily distracted. She didn't look back.

In fact, she had noticed the lipstick stain on Brad's collar the moment she saw Jean. Nadine rarely wore makeup and never used that shade of lipstick, so it was clear the lipstick stain belonged to Jean.

She wondered why Brad didn't just divorce her if he loved Jean so much. After the divorce, he could be with anyone he wanted, and no one could label Jean a homewrecker anymore. She just couldn't understand why he didn't take that step.

With that, Nadine quickly walked away. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared at the end of the corridor.

As Brad watched her walk away, he felt an unexpected emptiness in his heart that he couldn't quite comprehend. He reached out in a vain attempt to stop Nadine, but it was futile.

Just then, Jean emerged from the hospital room. She hurried to his side and clung to his arm.

"Brad, did you see how Nadine treated a patient? How could she just walk away like that? Who leaves a patient alone and walks away?"

Jean was frustrated that the temptress Nadine had almost diverted Brad's attention even as she walked away.

Brad shot her a cold look, his handsome face full of displeasure. "She's a nurse. You're not her only patient. If every patient acted like you, how could she do her job?"

His indifferent attitude heightened Callista's sense of insecurity, and tears welled up in her eyes. "Brad, do you like Nadine more than me now? Is that why you're speaking to me in such a cold manner?"

Brad sighed heavily, brushed her hand aside, and turned back toward the hospital room. He called Cameron and asked, "Has the meeting for this afternoon been arranged?"

Cameron's voice came through quickly, "Mr. Hamilton, everything is set. We're just waiting for you."

After the call ended, Brad turned to Jean and firmly said, "You should rest. I have a meeting this afternoon." Without giving her a chance to respond, he quickly left.

As soon as Brad was gone, Jean lay back down in the hospital bed and asked Lynn for a massage. "How do you think I compare to Nadine?"

Jean had always been Brad's first love. They grew up together, and when Brad earned his first fortune he bought her a house and kept her close yet, his deep affection for her seemed to have faded in just a few years.

Despite his calm demeanor around her, she sensed that his love for ker was no longer what it used to be. It felt like someone else had taken his heart, though he might not even realize it yet.

Lynn, who was massaging Jean's swollen legs, glanced at the closed hospital

door before speaking. "Do you want the honest truth, Ms. Sawyer?"

Jean nodded vigorously, "Of course! I'd rather hear the truth than any false flattery!"

Lynn smiled and said, "In that case, I'll be honest.

"Appearance-wise, you're indeed more attractive than Nadine. However, Nadine has a vibrant, robust beauty that you lack.

You have a more delicate beauty, and as long as Brad has normal taste, he's

likely to prefer someone who radiates health over someone who appears frail."

She continued, "In terms of background, you might be slightly better than Nadine, but she has the support of Mr. Hamilton Senior.

"I've heard that Mr. Hamilton Senior transferred all his shares to Nadine. You don't have that. Moreover,

Nadine has given Brad a son, while you haven't provided him with anything." noveldrama
