Chapter 864

Chapter 864:noveldrama

“Mr. Vargas.” Andres’ voice pulled him from his thoughts. He followed Kylo’s line of sight, glancing upward. “What’s happening upstairs?” he asked, curiosity and concern blending in his tone.

“Nothing important,” Kylo said briskly. “Go and ask Ms. Clarke to join me in my office for tea.” Without waiting for a response, he walked off.

Although puzzled, Andres nodded. “Understood, sir,” he replied and headed upstairs.

Meanwhile, Allison exhaled softly, her tense shoulders relaxing as she noticed the crowd at the entrance finally dispersing. Fortunately, nothing serious had happened.

“They’re gone at last,” she murmured to herself.

Not long after, a knock came at the door.

“Ms. Clarke,” Andres called out, his tone formal. “‘Mr. Vargas would like to see you in his office for tea.” Allison frowned slightly, hesitating. “1’11 freshen up and come down in a moment,” she answered.

She had just picked up a blood-stained bandage when she felt strong arms wrap around her from behind. Kellan pulled her close, resting his chin lightly on her shoulder. “Allison,” he said in a low voice, “our time together was rudely cut short.”

He leaned in closer, his warm breath grazing her skin with an almost unbearable intensity.

With his broad frame and long limbs, Kellan seemed to engulf her completely, his presence possessive and overwhelming.

His voice, low and raspy, murmured close to her ear as he

nibbled gently at her earlobe.

“Can’t you stay here instead?” he asked, his tone almost pleading.

The warmth of his breath sent shivers down Allison’s spine.

“But Mr. Vargas saved us,” she replied softly. “It would be rude not to go.”

In truth, their relationship with Kylo was nothing more than mutual manipulation.

She knew they were both using each other. He had his own agenda with the Immortality Group, just as she did. Still, on the surface, they played the part of allies.

“That man’s no saint. Who knows what he’s up to?” Kellan growled, his deep voice vibrating in her ear. His broad chest pressed firmly against her back, radiating a dominant energy.

His grip on her waist tightened gradually.

“And what’s the rush?” he added. “You could just see him tomorrow.”

Allison understood his concern. He didn’t trust Kylo, and she didn’t blame him.

Anyone who owned a casino in Muisvedo and controlled the infamous Galaxy cruise ship likely had a past stained with blood.
