Violet parked her car at the entrance to the Villa Imperial. Without waiting for the chauffeur to open the door for her, she pulled her, got out of the car and headed towards the villa in her 12-centimeter high heels.

Following the laughter, she made her way to a second-floor juice room and pushed open the door. But her face turned horrified as she took in the scene, “Who are you?”

Alayna was surrounded by a pile of toys and sitting cross-legged on the floor. She flinched as she heard the sudden scream of a woman, only coming to her senses after several seconds. Following the sound, he looked toward the door and saw Violet fuming with indignation. Her expression immediately changed and she said in disgust, “Is it any of your business? You scared me.”

“I…” Violet was furious, “What’s your attitude toward me, do you know who I am?”

“I know.” Alayna walked over to the chair and leaned on the floor. She pulled the two children who had apparently freaked out a little and hid them behind herself, then spoke with her arms folded across her chest, “Violet Kidman, superstar. Everyone knows you. As for Violet, she had violated his bottom line, he had told her he had something to take care of on the morning call, yet she still went home to find him. Joseph thought he should teach her a lesson.

Joseph returned to the banquet room after finishing the call and saw Hayden surrounded by a group of people after glancing around the room. They were toasting each other and apparently Hayden had gotten drunk as she couldn’t even stand up. A man was holding her and the people around her were still urging her to drink, they were approaching Hayden one after another and the scene was quite messy.

Joseph’s face darkened. He reached over, pushed those people away and pulled the drunken Hayden to himself. He looked coldly at the man who was trying to take advantage of Hayden and said, “If you want to stay on your feet, you’d better not touch her.”

The man flinched in dismay at those words and quickly fled.

The others surrounding Hayden also scattered, for they had not expected Joseph to return so soon.

Hayden snuggled into Joseph’s embrace and shook the glass in his dizzy hand, “Come on. I remember you, drink it.”

“No.” Joseph snatched the glass from her with a somber air and set it on the table next to him. With one hand on her waist, he cupped her face with the other, “Hayden, are you still sober?”

He’d left her for a while and she’d gotten drunk. Was she brainless?

“I’m not drunk. Drink it.”

Hayden stretched his arms out trying to wriggle out of her embrace, but fell completely limp in her arms after a few movements.

Looking down at her flushed face, Joseph’s anger magically dispersed a little. He felt a little angry, but at the same time a little helpless. Taking her in his arms, he walked out of the banquet hall under the gazes of the guests.

Feeling distressed, Kingsley uncontrollably took two steps forward trying to chase after them, but then he was stopped by Michelle, “Kingsley, where are you going?”

“I should go check it out, is Hayden drunk?”.

“Check what?” Michelle asked with a grim face, “Even if she is drunk, didn’t you see it was Joseph who took her? Joseph has admitted she’s his fiancée, what the hell happens if you chase them?”

Joseph heard a faint voice amidst the clamorous commotion. “My baby…”

He raised his eyebrows slightly in contempt. He put Hayden properly after getting into the car and then the driver started the car and drove out of the hotel.

“Is there any progress on the matter I asked you to look into earlier?”.

The chauffeur nodded, “Yes. I heard that Michelle Robinson took a pregnancy test at that private hospital three days ago and the fetus had a congenital malformation, the doctor suggested she have an abortion.”

Joseph’s expression became even more somber after hearing those words.

On the way to the engagement banquet, he received a phone call from Alayna, who told him that when she accompanied one of her friends to the hospital for a pregnancy check-up three days ago, they ran into Michelle.

Her friend’s husband happened to be a doctor at the private hospital.

She casually asked him some questions and found out that the reason Michelle was in a hurry to have the engagement reception was that she got pregnant before the engagement reception and the child had a congenital malformation.
