Chapter 2491
The lady had to reevaluate Frank right then.
As she looked closely, she realized that his good looks were not everything he had going for him.
The way he carried himself was not something anyone could match, and that alone gave him the right to say that he could sponsor all the kids.
"A-Are you really going to help?" she asked.
"Doesn't matter if I am-it wouldn't hurt to talk about it, don't you think?" Frank smiled. "And don't worry. It's just going to be me in my room, and I'm not about to do anything to an ordinary girl like you."
The lady nodded stiffly and followed Frank to his room.
Meg, who was gorging herself on food, smiled in wry amusement when she saw Frank returning with yet another lady.
Tut, tut―the man was simply lucky with women, and they were all willing to throw themselves into his arms!
"Take a seat, ma'am, make yourself at home-you have nothing to worry about here!"noveldrama
Meg beckoned at the lady to sit as kindly as Frank treated his other women even though it was the first time Meg had met the lady.
After all, she did not consider herself the queen. She did not want to compete with the others either, which is why she was trying her best not to make the lady feel uncomfortable.
"Thank you." The lady nodded at her politely in turn.
"What do I call you?" Frank asked as he sat too.
"I'm Yana Loom. And you are?"
"I'm Meg Quill. This is Lugh Frankton, CEO of Frankton Group!" "Frankton Group?"
While Frankton Group was famous in Bono Town, it was not all that famous in wider Shagan. Only some of the rich and powerful would be aware at best, so it made sense if Yana did not know of them.
"Let's talk about your school," Frank then said. "If you have time, we could check it out too!"
Yana nodded but said, "It's just an ordinary grade school. The kids' parents are working outside, and before I came, an elderly man was in charge of it. He didn't even finish high school, so he was overjoyed to see me, but also told me that it'd be tough through tears.
"The kids were shy and asked me if I'd be gone in months like the rest... I can't
help staying, but I can't get things to work without money either."
Yana's sorrow was palpable as she elaborated, and Meg could not help feeling infected.
While she considered herself to be no angel, she still held respect for people like Yana.
"If there's nothing else, let's check out your school right now," she suggested urgently. "Let's not wait!"
She would certainly like to see the state of the school, and if possible, offer some assistance.
Even if it might be pointless in the long run, she could at least stand with a clear conscience.
"No, it's no rush! Please, enjoy your meal first!" Yana quickly shook her head, worried that she would be a buzzkill.
Frank chuckled. "We've gorged ourselves on every type of gourmet food-this one is really just another meal. Let's go!"
As he got up, someone suddenly kicked open the door, and Baldy strode in with several burly thugs in tow.
"What do you want?!" Yana was terrified Baldy was a town bully,
and he naturally had connection net
since he was the liaison between her and those bigwigs!
But after Frank kicked him, he definitely had to salvage his reputation!
Moreover, he had promised Yana to those bigwigs, meaning that he had to do this while getting payback in passing!
What do you think?
