Chapter 2733
Frank smiled, shaking his head. "Don't worry-I'm neither blind nor deaf. I knew what was happening from the start, and I'd be even more upset if I were in your shoes."
The stall owner sighed in relief at Frank's words and turned to leave, not forgetting to curse the beggar under his breath.
At the same time, the beggar straightened herself off the ground and sat cross- legged, whipping out a large meatloaf out of nowhere and chomping down on it.
Frank sat beside her too, not bothered that he was wearing an expensive suit and certainly not concerned about getting it dirty.noveldrama
"So, do I pass your test, reverend?"
The beggar said nothing, instead handing Frank the meatloaf that her dirty hands had left darkened. "Hurry up. It's good."
Frank took it, not minding it at all and finishing it in a few bites. "It's good, but I can make something better. How about it?"
The beggar was suddenly on her feet, stretching her back and yawning. "Next time. I'm busy."
"What is it? Can't I help?" Frank asked, curious.
The beggar was suddenly in front of him, studying her face for a while before laughing stupidly. "Actually, I was hoping you'd help me."
Frank smiled, nodded, and got to his feet. "Then let's go."
Picking her up, he took to the skies.
However, they were high above when she suddenly shrugged free of his grasp, snorting grumpily. "Why are you carrying me? Let me fly-I'm not your GPS!"
She whipped out a wooden sword right then and stood on it with her toes before shooting forward!
Frank promptly gave chase but soon noted in excitement that he needed to almost go all out to catch out!
He was even more curious about the beggar's abilities now. To push him above two thirds of his abilities even with the power of the spiritron vein was basically impossible!
"Impressive."
"Not as impressive as you are!"
The beggar was clearly aware of the gap between herself and Frank nonetheless, even laughing. "And be honest, I'm not interested in. becoming as strong as you-a seek is to transcend this mortal form."
"Really?"
Frank was even more delighted, as this was the first time he had ever heard of such ambition after encountering so many different people and sects.
And to be honest, his curiosity was justified-was there any person who did not dream of transcendence?
That was when the beggar said,
"Please don't misunderstand-I don't mean what you're thinking. When I say transcendence, I mean living without being bound to anything and eternal youth."
Frank nodded that was good enough for him anyway.
"We're here!" the beggar exclaimed and suddenly stopped, pointing at a nearby hill.
Frank stretched out with his senses to see that there was a graveyard halfway up the hill, and that there were people there.
To be precise, it was more a curious energy signature that lingered there like when Frank turned invisible!
"All the stuff about ghosts and haunting is but tall tales the forefathers told to spook each other," the beggar said.
What do you think?
