The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 833

Why did Darius say "See you?"

Chauncey discreetly shook his head and thought to himself, "If we're meeting again, that'll be another funeral. Doesn't saying that bring bad luck? The old man says strange things, and the young man doesn't know any better. This family is just odd."

The staff of the funeral home left in their cars. Without the car lights, the burial site went dark all of a sudden.

Under the dim light of some candles, six silhouettes were barely visible. Darius stood next to Karina, Marilyn stood beside Gunnar, and Matthew accompanied Tony.

The six of them were split into three groups, each standing their ground.

Tony sighed, feeling his age. After all the hassle he had been through for the past two days, he was too tired to even move his legs.

Darius and Marilyn couldn't be bothered to light up all the candles, so Tony had to do it himself. As Tony approached Jay's grave, he lit a match with a burning candle and then used it to light the rest of the candles.

Suddenly, two cars came driving toward them from a distance.

Tony turned to look at the cars. In the blink of an eye, they had pulled up next to the burial site.

He thought they were Jay's friends who came here to pay their respects to Jay. He waved his hand a few times, and the match went out as he walked toward them.

As the car door opened, seven young men stepped out of it.

Looking at the newcomers, Tony stopped in his tracks. "Who are you looking for?"

Jay's friends should be old, so the newcomers wouldn't be his friends. That was why Tony had to ask.

Ignoring Tony, the seven young people came over to Darius and respectfully greeted him, "We've arrived, Mr. Darius, Ms. Fields."

Darius waved his hand, and the seven newcomers stood behind him. The candles' faint glow and the foggy atmosphere added a touch of danger to the air.

Watching the scene unfold, Tony scrunched up his brows. What was Darius trying to do? The burial wasn't fully over, and he had called in all these big muscles. What was he up to?noveldrama

Upon seeing what was going on, Gunnar held Marilyn's hand and turned to leave. Marilyn was reluctant. "Hold on. I haven't-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Gunnar covered her mouth and pulled her away. She stumbled as she tried to keep up.

Darius didn't expect Gunnar and Marilyn to realize the situation they were in, but it had only made things easier for him.

He turned to Tony and remarked, "I paid for Dad's funeral, Uncle Tony. Now that he's been laid to rest, I have done what I needed to do as his son."

Tony's expression turned grim. All Darius did was pay for the funeral, and now, he was acting like he had taken care of everything.

Furious, he snapped, "How do you have the nerve to say that? Jay's body was rotting in the villa. Where were you, you scumbag? You came back and didn't even bother fixing up his appearance. Instead, you left an old man like me to do the job. How are you so shameless to say you've fulfilled all your duty as a son?"

Darius looked indifferent. "Cut the crap. No matter what, Dad's buried, and I've done everything I needed to. It's reasonable for me to take his inheritance now."

Tony trembled in rage. "You don't deserve it, you wretch. If you want to inherit whatever, just go ahead. It's got nothing to do with me, and I don't want to see your face. Get lost."

Sporting a cold look, Darius sternly stated, "Stop playing dumb, you old geezer! I want Vital Restorative Remedies. Hand me the book, and we'll go our separate ways. Otherwise, don't blame me for what's going to happen next."

As Darius motioned with his hand, the seven young men scattered, surrounding Tony and Matthew.
