"Take me, for example. I'm a bird therian. After my DNA integrated the Stellar Amber, I gained the ability to command the wind. Let's call it 'Windlash ability.'

"Finlay is a wolf therian. If his DNA could integrate with Stellar Amber, he would probably obtain the Earthbind ability. I'd even go so far as to say amphibian therians might have mastery over two ExoAbilities."

"What part did my blood have in this?" Analise frowned. Gideon said a lot of stuff, but she didn't seem to have contributed anything to the process. After all, it sounded like it was an integration between Stellar Amber and therian DNA.

"It's the Purification," Gideon responded.

"The first potion I drank only had three drops of your blood. After my DNA integrated the natural elements, I still retained a part of my consciousness and could barely control myself, but the virus was still there.

"Earlier, it felt like two consciousnesses were at war in my mind. One of them was probably my beast form's killing instinct that was forced to surface because of the virus.

"The other was the Windlash ability that had yet to integrate completely."

Gideon raised his head and looked at Analise. "The second test tube had ten drops of your blood, which is more than enough to neutralize the virus.

"After the virus was undone, the DNA integration was sped up, and that was how I mastered Windlash."

"Oh. I guess that makes me a mobile serum factory, huh?" Analise giggled. "This is why I only asked Finlay to come with me for the research. We mustn't let others know about your discovery."

Gideon's eyes darkened when he heard her playful response. "Ana, it goes without saying that we mustn't let others know that your blood can neutralize the virus."

"The research is a success. So, why don't we proceed to draw more of my blood? We can't keep stalling it. Once the reagents are prepared, it'll take some time to transport them to the other alliances," Analise said.

She couldn't explain it, but she had a strong, ominous feeling sitting in her gut.

Out in interstellar space, a starship with a security force emblem was on its way to sail into Stormclaw Alliance's sector.

"Commander Hopkins truly had the short straw in life. His own brother killed his mom, but the silver lining, if you can call it that, is that he still has someone to hate. He could hunt him down and avenge her.

"Now, however, there is actually an invader that isn't Vexoth, and the damned thing possessed his brother, leaving him barely alive."

"You said it. From what I heard, there was something freaky about the outsider. It was only a shard of a soul, and it still managed to burrow itself into him."

In one of the private cabins, Sean was lying on the bed with his eyes shut, his forehead covered in sweat as if he were haunted by a terrible nightmare.

"Scott, it's not me. That's not me..." he murmured in his sleep and eventually trailed off. Then, he suddenly cried out, "Scott!"

Sean immediately sat upright, panting heavily.

The male who stood guard outside his cabin heard his voice and stormed in hastily. "What happened?"
