The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

Chapter 126

Before Sylvester knew what was happening, someone grabbed his collar and

lifted him off the ground. The next thing he knew, he was dragged all the way to a building's rooftop.

"Say, which one of your sons do you think is going to win the fight?" The male took off his hat, revealing his face. It was Jamari.

Sylvester was slightly stunned when he saw who it was. "Y-You're..."

He trailed off before he continued, "You're from the Crestfall family."

He was dazed in utter disbelief. Jamari was a carbon copy of that therian. How could he not recognize him? That said, Jamari was still young, meaning he must've been that therian's son.

"Are you Thaddeus Crestfall's son?" Sylvester knew the answer to his question, but he couldn't stop himself from asking it.

"That's right." Jamari sneered. "Has it ever occurred to you that this day would come when you were destroying my family?"

"When have I destroyed the Crestfall family?" Sylvester gazed at Jamari coldly. "The victor takes it all. That's the law of nature. What's more, I spared you because you were young. All I did was send you along with the females to a lower-class planet!"

"Oh, that's all, huh?" Jamari laughed throatily.

"You made it sound like it was no big deal. Do you even know what it was like living on lower-class planets? Do you have any idea the kind of things we had to do just to survive?" he asked reproachfully and yanked at Sylvester's collar.

"Every female receives a monthly allowance, including the females on lower-class planets. Moreover, the amount used to be 50 thousand dollars back then.

"50 thousand dollars is perfectly enough to support the three of you. Shouldn't you all know how to survive?"

Sylvester's gaze remained cold, but it was fixed on Scott, who was crouching on all fours at the starship station.

The starship from space had crash-landed on the station, even tumbling and rolling several times before grinding to a halt. A group of therians rammed its door, sent it flying to the station floor, and came charging out.

The first therian Sylvester saw was the clawed-up and frenzied tiger. He knew that it was Sean the moment he laid eyes on him.

"You Crestfalls are rotten to the core. Like father, like son." Sylvester was heartbroken to see Sean in this state. He was so infuriated that he quivered with

rage.

However, he was old and frail, and he couldn't possibly take Jamari out in a fight. He could do nothing as the latter held him hostage and made him watch Sean get hurt.

"We're wicked, huh? Has it occurred to you that you're also wicked when you murdered my fathers in cold blood? What makes you think you're better than us when you personally banished me and my family to a

lower-class planet?" Jamari sneered.

It was obvious that he didn't expect Sylvester to accuse him of being rotten to the core. His eyes flared red, burning with pure anger.

"When have I killed your fathers?" Sylvester also scoffed coldly. "Looks like your biological father really has played you for a fool!"

"Mind that filthy tongue of yours!" Jamari was furious when he saw the scornful

look in Sylvester's eyes. He immediately grabbed the latter's collar.noveldrama

"Damn you, you old fart! You had better make yourself clear right now! My father would never have manipulated me!" His arms quivered with rage. He had his suspicions, but he didn't have the courage totrust his gut.

Sylvester snapped back, "What do you think, genius? Where did your mother's allowance disappear to? Shouldn't you have had a better idea about it than I do?

"Let me guess. Did your father frequently ask for money from your mother? Did he always say he needed funds to put together a private army?"

Sylvester had lived decades longer than Jamari. Naturally, he had a better grip on his emotions than the latter. Scott and Sean might've been locked in a fierce battle, but he still found strength in himself to shove the anguish down deep.

Jamari gulped in response.

Sylvester remembered that Jamari was six or seven years old when he sent the Crestfall family to a lower-class planet. As such, the latter must've retained memories from that time.

"Also, did your mother honestly not tell you about your other fathers? Did they die by my hands or the hands of your backstabbing father?" Sylvester cast a pitiful glance at Jamari.

"Why are you giving me this look?" Jamari was driven mad with fury.

How had he never suspected it? He had seen his mom secretly wiping tears away, and he had heard how they argued over and over again.
