Chapter 95
Analise tilted her head and asked Scott, "Do you want ear rubs too?"
He nodded. "Yes. Is that okay?"
"Of course it is," she replied, reaching out to touch the ears hidden in his hair.
After she was done giving both him and Finlay ear rubs, she put her hands on her hips and glared sternly at them. "It looks like you both know that one needs to dress up when making a contract, so why didn't anyone tell me that?"
Scott and Finlay both lowered their heads at her slightly angry, questioning tone, having realized their misstep.
Analise sighed and returned to her room. "Looks like I'll have to change my clothes."
After debating for a long time, she finally changed into an outfit that was casual but gave off a slightly playful vibe-a knitted pink sweater with a fur collar over a white blouse, paired with a pleated skirt and stockings.
She also curled her hair using a curling iron, leaving slightly curled bangs on both sides of her ears, and gave herself a half-up hairstyle.
The outfit was very suitable for taking pictures with both Scott and Finlay.
She did not put on any makeup, though. She was already quite good-looking without it, so with her outfit and some accessories to complement her face, she had even less need for makeup.
She was not a fan of makeup in the first place. Furthermore, considering that her appearance was going to be tattooed on Finlay and Scott's wrists, she felt that it was better to go with her natural appearance.
After breakfast, the three of them drove over to the Interstellar Contract Bureau on Golden Street.noveldrama
The therians in the bureau were very surprised to see them, but also did not find their presence unexpected.
There were many people within the Stormclaw Alliance who had seen the live stream of Analise calming Scott down from his breakthrough-induced loss of control in the Ironhorn Alliance.
She had shocked everyone back then, even though she had kissed him lightly.
In addition, Scott was her guardian, so everyone had more or less guessed that he was very likely to become her mate.
As for Finlay, it was common knowledge that he was a candidate.
After all, Analise had personally admitted that she had already touched his ears and tail before.
Touching a therian's ears was one thing, but their tail... Every therian knew the implications behind it.
Even though they knew what Analise, Scott, and Finlay were here for, they were still required to follow procedure, so a male bureau employee-Gavin Reed- asked, "May I ask what you're here for, Ms. Chamber?"
"I'm here to form a contract," Analise replied with a smile.
"Alright. Please come with me," said Gavin, leading the three of them into a side foom before then asking "Who would you like to take a photo with first, Ms. Chamber?"
What he was really asking was who she wanted to have as her primary mate.
Analise glanced at Finlay, then Scott.
Both of them looked a little nervous.
Finlay initially thought that Scott had dressed up in order to impress Analise.
However, considering that Scott had suddenly decided to dress up as well as come along with them, he
belatedly realized that Scott was probably also here to form a
contract with Analise.
When he first came to that realization, he was rather surprised, but after giving it
more thought, he felt that it was not actually unexpected.
He had always felt that Scott had high-grade mind essence, so Analise should naturally also like Scott more.
So, during the drive over, he had convinced himself that he would be satisfied with forming a contract with her and becoming her mate.
As for Scott, that decision was up to Analise. At any rate, Finlay felt more at ease with Scott than with someone like Karl or Gideon.
He was familiar with Scott, after all.
On the other hand, Gideon looked like he was the sort to be very competitive over Analise's affections, and Karl...
Scott kept his hands behind his back, looking the picture of calm, but his palms were actually already sweaty.
He had been nervous ever since the moment they entered the bureau.
This was the first time he—the
Stormclaw Alliance's
Conder-had felt this nervous,
even more so than when he bad tentatively kissed Analise yesterday.
Even though he knew that she liked Finlay, he still clung to the faint hope that she
would let him become her primary mate due to his grade.
In truth, there was no difference between main and secondary mates, and primary mates did not enjoy any special rights.
Males simply liked to use it as a criterion for which of them a female liked more. Analise waved Finlay over. "Come here, Finlay."
What do you think?
