Unforgettable love

Chapter 43

Chapter 43:.

Dolores hesitated before slowly walking towards him.

She had never looked at him intently at such close distance. His body exuded manly maturity, looks, warmth and generosity. His eyebrows, forehead and temples were serene, without a single disturbance. It was precisely this peace and calm that made her heart flutter.

Perhaps she thought he might be the father of the child inside her and that was why she was worried about what he thought of her.

Women are emotional creatures. During pregnancy she was even more sensitive.

“It helped me a lot. I didn’t know this was the event you wanted me to accompany you to. I definitely didn’t know you would be present, I didn’t do it on purpose.”

He frowned with a deep expression. No one could know what he was thinking. Dolores thought he wouldn’t believe her and think of her as those easy women. But she wasn’t.

“I…”

“Are you trying to explain?” he asked.

“I hope you don’t misunderstand me.” In the past, she hadn’t cared about how Matthew saw her. But now it was different. If it was really him and they had a child together, then it was important to have a good impression of each other.

“You’re so sincere, I can’t hate or do anything about it.” He got really angry when he saw her show up with Sampson. He wanted so badly to pinch her to death, as she had never taken his words seriously.

“Get in the house.” He stood up and walked into the yard with Dolores following close behind.

Coral had already gone to rest. The living room was spacious and empty.

He undid the buttons of his business suit and said, “I’m hungry.”

Dolores took over his jacket, “It’s already very late. I’ll fix you some noodles.”

He nodded softly and sat down on the couch. He leaned back on the couch and relaxed. He closed his eyes as his slender fingers unbuttoned his shirt collar and removed his tie. Dolores hung up his jacket and headed to the kitchen to prepare some noodles.

She pulled out some vegetables, eggs and tomatoes. She fried some eggs with tomatoes and then cooked the noodles. In no time they were ready.

In the living room, Matthew looked at the slender figure busily working in the kitchen and had a homey feeling.

Dolores served the noodles to the dining table, “It’s ready.”

She went to pour two glasses of water. She placed a glass of water next to Matthew and then pulled out a chair in front of him and sat down. The collar of his shirt was unbuttoned, exposing his sexy collarbone. His rolled up sleeves revealed his sturdy arms. It was as if he had been pampered by his maker. Even the way he held his chopsticks was a sight to behold.

He lowered his head to eat the noodles and then frowned softly because they were tasteless. Dolores couldn’t help but laugh. She picked up the bowl and poured two servings of tomato fried eggs over the noodles. “You have to mix the noodles with the tomatoes and fried eggs, it will taste much better that way.”

Matthew lifted his head and saw Dolores smiling sweetly. He had never seen her smile so brightly for him. Her eyes were bright, crystal clear and pure. It was mesmerizing.

Dolores raised her head and saw that the man was looking at her and asked carefully, “Not to your taste?”

Matthew came to his senses and let out a soft cough. He took another bite and then said, “No, it’s delicious.”

Dolores drank some water and looked out the window.

“Aren’t you going to bed?” Matthew looked at her.

“I’ll wait until you finish eating and then I’ll wash the dishes before I go to bed. If we leave the dishes here, Coral will have to clean up in the morning.” She pinched her chin as she said it.

Matthew lowered his head and continued eating the noodles. He ate as Dolores had suggested: mixing the tomato fried eggs with the noodles.

Grr…

Dolores blushed. She clutched her abdomen, but that couldn’t stop her abdomen from growling causing her to feel terribly embarrassed.

Matthew looked at her, “Are you hungry?”.

Dolores felt that her face was very hot. She pinched her clothes and cocked her head to the side, “I haven’t had dinner, but I wasn’t hungry right now.” That’s why she didn’t prepare a ration for herself.

She stood up, “I’m going to cook some more.”

“I can’t finish these. I’ll give you some. Grab a bowl.” Matthew said before realizing it was somewhat inappropriate as he had started eating the noodles in his bowl. He continued, “I’ve kissed you, so since we’ve already had such intimate encounters, then eating the same bowl of noodles should be acceptable, shouldn’t it?”

Dolores opened her mouth but couldn’t say anything. Should she say yes nicely? Should she say yes coldly? Was he teasing her and being a rascal?

“I’ll cook some noodles for myself…”

“You despise me?” He raised his eyebrows and became more impersonal and yet he had a playful, seductive look. Dolores’s heart skipped a beat.

“I…I’m going to get a bowl.” Dolores quickly headed for the kitchen.

Matthew smiled when he saw her rear view, dazed. When Dolores returned with the bowl, Matthew handed her a portion of the noodles she hadn’t touched. Dolores lowered her head and didn’t dare look at him. It seemed a very intimate act to her. Only couples who had been married for a long time did it. Matthew looked at her face for a while and didn’t expect her to be so shy. He couldn’t help but laugh and smiled.

After eating, Dolores did the dishes and Matthew went upstairs to wash up. It was the first time they had interacted so quietly after Dolores moved in.

When Dolores woke up in the morning, Matthew also came downstairs. Their eyes met and Dolores quickly looked away.

Matthew went downstairs and headed for the dining room.

Coral had already served breakfast on the dining room table and coffee in front of Matthew. She intentionally asked, “Is it a new practice for newlywed couples to sleep in separate rooms?”

Matthew was stunned, raised his eyebrows and looked up at Dolores with inexplicable tenderness.

Dolores almost spat out the milk in her mouth when she heard what Coral said. Her cheeks grew uncontrollably hot and her nose began to sweat.

Her mind was blank and she didn’t know how to react to it.

“Coral, have you fried eggs?” reminded Matthew. There was a burning smell in the air.

Coral yelled, “My eggs!” She turned to run into the kitchen. Her fried eggs were burnt.

Matthew smiled as he saw the white spot at the corner of her mouth. He handed her a paper napkin and said, “Coral takes good care of me and cares a lot about my happiness.”

What Coral did was very obvious and Dolores felt extremely embarrassed by the suggestive nature of Coral’s question.

She picked up the napkin Matthew had given her and her finger inadvertently touched it. She felt as if an electric current flowed in her blood to her cheeks, which made them boil. She quickly withdrew her hand.

“I’ll…I’ll take just one.” Dolores reached out to wipe her mouth.noveldrama

Matthew didn’t feel uncomfortable and handed the napkin back to her. Dolores felt uncomfortable throughout breakfast because of the strange atmosphere. When breakfast was over, she quickly left the dining room, “Please continue, I will leave first.”

Matthew slowly put down his coffee cup and looked up, “Just a moment…”
