Your Love Is But a Dream (Clara and Wren)

Chapter 255

Wren had completely lost his patience.noveldrama

"Does it make a difference?" He sneered, looking down at Ryan with an air of dominance.

The pressure of his presence crashed down like a tidal wave as he continued, "Remember, Ryan. No matter what my position is, she is not someone you can covet."

Ryan was shocked. Did he know who he was?

"I looked into your background. You do have some influence here," Wren said coldly, and his dark eyes carried a trace of disdain. "But before you lay a hand on certain people, you should think carefully... Can you really handle the consequences?"

As Ryan clenched his fists, his expression turned grim. "Are you threatening me?"

"Take it however you want."

As Wren calmly delivered his warning, Ryan felt a mix of fury and unease.

He had grown up surrounded by admiration and respect. People either feared him or went out of their way to please him.

This was the first time someone had looked him in the eye, fully aware of who he was and the power behind his name, yet still treated him like he was nothing.

Not just Wren. Franklin, too.

Who the hell was Wren?

Wren didn't care what Ryan was thinking. In fact, he had never considered him worth his attention.

"This is the only time I'll say this-stay away from her. If I find out you did anything to her or even scared her again, I guarantee neither you nor your family will have

a peaceful day ahead," Wren said indifferently.

Yet the weight behind his words was impossible to ignore.

For a split second, an absurd thought crossed Ryan's mind.

He knew Wren wasn't just making threats. He was dead serious. If he ever laid a

hand on Clara, he and his entire family would pay the price!

However...

That was impossible!

Franklin was...

Ryan shook his head, trying to shake off the pressure and the lingering threat Wren had planted in his mind. A sense of panic coiled inside him, tightening its grip on his mind, refusing to let go.

Backing down in front of Wren was out of the question.

Gritting his teeth, Ryan forced himself to stay composed as he looked at Wren. "Who do you think you are? Do you even know who my father-"

Wren cut him off coldly, "I don't care who he is. If you lay a hand on her, you'll pay the price. This is the first and only warning you'll get."

Ryan gritted his teeth, feeling furious as he watched Wren dismiss his family as if they were nothing. No one had ever dared to look down on the Chase family like this!

"That's all from me." Wren ignored Ryan's furious glare and glanced at the mess on the floor. "And before you leave, clean up your trash. Don't make it someone else's problem."

With that, he headed upstairs without another word.

Feeling frustrated, Ryan watched him walk away. He clenched his fist and slammed it against the stair railing.

Just then, a nurse came up the

stairs and stopped short at the sight of him. Startled, she hesitated for a moment before noticing the overturned fruit basket and scattered flower petals on the floor.

She frowned. "Excuse me, sir. Is this yours?" she asked politely.

Ryan was already on edge. The moment the nurse mentioned his things, his anger flared up again when he saw the crushed petals on the ground. He shot the nurse a cold glare, preparing to leave.

The nurse flinched at his glare for a moment but quickly regained her composure.

She grabbed his arm, frowning in disapproval. Sir, if this is yours, you

shouldn't just leave it lyi

What if a patient accidentally stepped on it and fell to the ground? You should immediately clean it up before you go."
