Orion was stunned and looked at Matthew skeptically, "What do you mean? Do you even know what you're saying?"

At the side, Rodrick's eyes glinted sharply, and he made a silencing gesture to the person who had accompanied him there. Rodrick had swiped his hand down in one swift movement. It was a light wave, but it signified an order to kill.

David stared at Matthew in shock. He didn't know why Matthew had suddenly made such shocking remarks.

Then, Matthew said coldly, "Of course, I know what I'm talking about. I can repeat it if you failed to catch it the first time. I won't increase my offer, but I'll take that Eastorian's life!"

As he said that, Matthew pointed at Rodrick.

Otherwise, I'll make sure you—"

Before he could finish his words, Orion felt a heavy slap to his face. The crisp sound of the slap rang off in his ears clear as day, and with just a single slap, Orion was sent collapsing to the ground.

He felt his vision going black, and his ears started ringing while his mouth filled up with the metallic taste of blood.

Orion opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood, realizing that he had also spat out some white-colored things. The moment he reached out to touch them, he realized that those were his teeth.

At once, he snapped out of his daze and got up from the floor, roaring at Matthew

Once Matthew was done slapping him, Orion felt his legs giving out. He fell to the ground limply. After a few moments, he held onto his face and looked up at Matthew. His eyes were filled with shock and fear.

It was the first time he'd ever met someone so fearless who beat him up without hesitation. Orion felt afraid now.

Matthew bent down to pick up a rusty steel pipe and stated coldly, "You know the district leader, huh?"

When Orion noticed Matthew holding a steel pipe as thick as his thumb, he started trembling and stuttered, "I... I don't know him... Please don't hit me anymore!"

Matthew then waved the steel pipe in his hand, which produced a piercing whir in the air. Then, he asked again, "You also eat with the chief of the district police station, huh?"
