The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 105

Chapter 105:.

Joseph Beckham concentrated and gripped the steering wheel tightly, saying aloud, “Mind your own business.”

Hayden Downey could tell he was upset.

They arrived in N-Town after two and a half hours. Joseph had a meeting in the afternoon. He made a call to Magnus on the way and then sent Hayden to the hospital entrance.

Magnus had been waiting for them for a long time when they got there.

“Mr. Beckham, Miss Downey.” Magnus stood in front of the car, greeted Joseph and Hayden. Then he mentioned the patient who had been transferred to that hospital, “The patient from GX City has been hospitalized. But the hospital recommended discharging him for treatment, he was uncooperative and causing problems during the transfer. He was sent here after administering a sedative. Be careful, Miss Downey, when you see him later.”

Hayden frowned, “Really? He was quite normal when I was there.”

At Hayden’s words, Joseph glared at her and said with distaste, “Is it that your understanding of normal is different from most people’s?”

When Joseph arrived at the hospital ward yesterday, and saw the boy hugging her tightly. Was this normal at all?

“Huh?”

“Take care.” Joseph frowned as he saw the puzzled expression on Hayden’s face. He looked at the time and before getting into the car he said, “Call me if you need anything.”

She felt complicated as she watched Joseph leave the hospital.

She seemed to have seen a different side of him last night.

When Hayden got to the room, all kinds of medical equipment was jumbled all over the place. The doctor and nurses were busily circling a bed and catching a teenager in the middle.

“Quickly. Over there, over there.”

“Block the door, don’t let him out.”

“Don’t hurt him, he’s got a head wound.”

“Oh, God…”

“…”.

Hayden’s face changed drastically when he pushed the door open and saw this scene, “What are they doing?”.

When the teenager surrounded in the center saw Hayden, he immediately broke away from the crowd and hid behind Hayden, trembling.

“Hey, catch…”.

“What are you catching?” Hayden glared at the intern and quickly glanced around the place, spotting a phone and a selfie stick on the ground. He picked up the phone and criticized with distaste, “He’s got a brain disorder, didn’t anyone tell you guys when they moved him here, what’s wrong with you guys?”noveldrama

“No. It’s just that he woke up and started smashing things all of a sudden wanting to leave. We’re afraid he’s going to run off and have a mishap.”

“If it wasn’t because they’re touching him, would he be smashing something all of a sudden? He has a brain disorder, but he’s not a psychopath.”

Hayden was young but full of vigor. Her screams had kept the young intern and the nurses from speaking.

Soon, the head doctor and head nurse heard the news and came immediately.

Hayden reassured the teenager to stay in the room. When she came out, the head nurse apologized to her, saying the matter was cleared up.

“The new trainee nurse was immature. She said the patient transferred here looked like her classmate. She took a selfie stick to take a picture with him, which led to this incident. We apologize for that.”

“Does he look like his classmate?”. Hayden perked up, “Which nurse?”.

“Miss Downey.” The head nurse was disturbed, “The trainee just started her internship here and I’m the one who hasn’t taught her well. Tell me if she has any complaints, she is still young and has not yet graduated.”

Hearing this, Hayden knew there was a misunderstanding. He explained to him that the patient he had brought in had suffered a terrible fall and had damaged his brain. And that he might be suffering from transient amnesia. She was helping him look for his family, so she wanted to ask the nurse who said the teenager looked like her classmate.

The head nurse was relieved and called the nurse.

The trainee nurse appeared to be in her late teens. When she saw Hayden, she looked nervous, probably from the fright she had been given by Hayden’s screaming just a moment ago, and said, “Miss Downey, do you want to ask me something? I swear I didn’t hit you. I was just trying to take a picture with him.”

“Do you know him?” Hayden looked at the girl in front of him with a stern gesture.

“Huh?” The apprentice was puzzled and froze for a while. “Isn’t he your friend, why do you ask…?”.

“He has some brain disorders due to a recent car accident, but I’m not sure if he suffers from amnesia because of it. You said he looked like one of your classmates. Can you tell me who that classmate is?”.

Hayden briefly told the trainee nurse about the whole incident. She pondered for a while after understanding the situation. She looked for a moment at the teenager on the bed through the observation window and shook her head, “I met him a few times in front of the school, near the Megacenter for Higher Education. I’m from a medical college, and the school is mostly women. He may not be from our faculty, he is very handsome. So I made a bet with my friends that I would ask him for his contact if I met him again. And then I saw him here by chance. That’s all I know.”

“So, you don’t know who he is, do you?”.

The young nurse nodded, feeling embarrassed.

“Not even his name?”

“No.”

Hayden felt dejected as her hope came to nothing. He let the nurse leave and stood in the doorway for a while before entering the room.

The teenager was curled up on the bed, wrapping the white blanket around himself and barely letting his eyes show. His eyes were clear, like those of an innocent child.

Hayden felt those eyes look familiar when the teen suddenly opened his mouth, “Hayden, I want a drink.”

Hayden was startled, “Are you talking to me?”

He nodded his head.

Hayden looked totally stunned. “How do you know my name?”

“I want something to drink.” The teenager repeated his request again.

Hayden pulled himself together and poured her water. He guessed he might have heard Joseph utter his name earlier at the hospital. So he followed him.

As he drank, Hayden pulled out his phone and showed him today’s news, “Do you know these words?”

The teenager swallowed a mouthful of water, blinking. “In the early hours of this morning, a nineteen-year-old man died after falling into the river on F Mountain in Hexi…”.

It wasn’t stupid, had it really given him amnesia?

Hayden studied the teenager’s face. He looked handsome with an air of boyish temperament. And the nurse was right, he did indeed look like a college student.

After looking at him for a moment, she asked shyly, “Do you remember your name?”

The teenager blinked and suddenly froze, as if trying to remember something. He squinted slowly, burying his head in the blanket with a pained expression.

Seeing this, Hayden didn’t dare let him think again. She stroked his back, trying to soothe him, “It’s okay if you can’t think of anything. It’s okay.”

The teenager shivered on the bed, crying out in a low, hoarse voice. Soon, as Hayden was about to call the doctor, the teenager suddenly grabbed his wrist and said in a trembling voice, “Benjamin.”
